Moran flop or no?

FLOP!

good game...we turned it over way too much but caused havoc on defense and made them turn it over a bunch also. Didn't like the end of game draw up though. Would've rather had someone take a 3 for the win. No way we win in overtime there. Go for the throat and get a one on one 3 rather than throwing into traffic....JMO tho

The one at the end against DSE? Yes I thought that was an awful call, why does it seem like we always get things called against us at the end of games??

don't u have to have .8 left at least to get a catch and shoot? So that's really all we could have done if that is the case

DSE tip in should have counted plus there should have been at least 1 second left, how come when we are defending at the end the refs always add time but tonight it is the correct time, it just burns you that the team does not get a fair shake at the end of the game.

Seems like it always happens, I'm still not happy with what happened at UNI last year at the end with the refs!

It was 2 to 1. The tip in should've counted and the charge should've been a no call. On the other end, they called a travel on UNI when we probably fouled them first.

It took awhile for the Valley refs to show up this season.

That was the flop of all flops. If you watch the replay, he's half way to the ground before there is even a hint of contact. Give this guy a golden globe or whatever it is they give to great actors.

Of course, winning and losing a game never depends on ONE SINGLE play, but it's easy to point out a bad call at a critical point.

I also wasn't a huge fan of the final play, but I don't think we had much other choice.

I didn't see the whole game, but it looks like we stepped up our defense tremendously since the last time out. On that note, I'm impressed. Just wish we could've stole this one because we desperately needed this win.

I guess....i see your point. I'm not sure if it's an actual rule though, is it? I'd still rather have a quick throw to SM or AW for a shot rather throwing it into 3 UNI guys and 1 BU guy in the air with someone standing in front of you and making it awkward...just didn't seem like the best option. Maybe it was idk.

Either way it seemed like at least .8 should have been left anyway, but of course the refs kept it at .6

The foul call on the DSE tip in was a bad call...that was an awesome hustle play by DSE
The charge call wasn't all that bad of a call...Moran did sell it once DSE turned the corner and put his shoulder into him...but on the road, that is going to get called a charge 95% of the time...

Yeah but at home we don't get 95% of those calls I don't think. I don't want to talk too much about the refs, but they were bad tonight. Almost felt like the league, don't let the almost top 25 team get upset, fix was in.

Anyway, never mentioning that again, this is a team I can feel less conflicted supporting. It was a loss, and I don't really believe in good losses, but they just gutted it out against a very tough team. That kind of effort will see us kicking the crap out of a lot of teams. Come on, Bradley, give me that effort for the rest of the season!

The rule is : If there is .3 or less on the clock you can NOT catch and shoot. It must be a tip for the try to be ruled good. At .3 ,if it is a catch and shoot and the horn hasn't sounded by the release it will still be waved off as not a shot. This is because of the reaction time of the timer starting the clock. This rule takes alot of pressure of a timer. The easy way to remember the rule is .3 or less MUST be a tip. Can NOT be a catch. Now the only judgement by the officials is whether it is a catch or not and that normally is pretty easy.
