Post Game Thread MS-88 BU-69

Anyone think the line will be greater than 15 next week? It was 9.5 for this game. Where was TB today. We help too much on D. At least Weems didn't put 50 on and us and they didn't score 100. I like DSE's future. Time to drink heavily.

One more game with no defense, getting out rebounded 2 to 1, and one of the opposing players have a career game on the Braves. Seems like the past couple of years you can count on that happening almost every game under Les.

Well....they didn't score 100, so I guess we don't have any proof that our defense just isn't there.

You're right...everything is fine. Another team just shot 'lights out' against us...All these things will get fixed...We've got some more good tape to teach from...the best basketball is ahead of these guys...we're getting better every day...":lol:

Comical.

Since the Iowa State game I at least felt the players started to give effort the whole game, today I felt like there was little to no effort the whole game. Everytime we start to look like we can make it back out of the hole this season we come out and give no effort the next game. You can't just give effort when everybody gets on you, it has to be something you give all the time even when things are good. That is what I am most dissapointed about is the effort of the team tonight. No one is good enough to not box out or play defense. Come on Braves! I am still holding on to some faith in you!

Watching today's game really p!ssed me off! :( I'm starting to really dislike our offensive and defensive scheme. There were way too many open looks for MSU today.....just like many of our other games. We overplay WAY too much on defense and get burned too often. Why can't our guys get these kinds of open looks?

League is Getting Stronger!

League is Getting Stronger!

I know everyone seems to be in some sort of meltdown about what's wrong with Bradley but quite frankly I think we don't look that much different from the past two editions (08 & 09) of Bradley basketball. However, after watching a number of MVC games this season I think there are a number of teams that have passed us by in talent and coaching - good for our league bad for Bradley! We need to step up our recruiting and coaching if we expect to compete in the upper half of this league - this level of performance isn't going to get us there but then again i'm not sure what the Universities goals are? Maybe someday Bradley will introduce the new AD and he can tell us what's up!

They did introduce the new AD, and all he talked about was academics. I think we have our answer. :(

There was almost nothing good about today's game.

1. I did not see much effort on the floor for BU.

2. I am not sure you could pick out any back to back defensive plays we made that were very good.

3. We did not seem to be ready to defend Weems. Milos and Phillips on him???

4. We played way too many people in the first half.

etc

etc

etc

Well that's been my argument all along. . .one of the big arguments I always face when complaining about league finishes was that the league has improved tremendously. That is true. Never denied that. But you either lead, follow, or get out of the way. Well, we've somehow figured out a way to do none of those.

Rebounding is a problem.

Justin Fuehrmeyer is a 6'-1" back-up gaurd. He got 6 rebounds in 16 minutes for MSU.

That is more than our leading rebounder who got 5.

For the whole game we got 23 rebounds and MSU got 38. We got a little problem here.

I am not the coach but I wonder what would happen if we played G,G,F,F,C.

That is fine, but assuming the lineup is SM, AW, TB, WE, ? Who is the center or other forward now that deserves to start??? SS? AT? MK?

well one good thing happened in this game. on the road we went to the free throw line more than the home team. we shot 83% from the free throw line. we outscored them from the charity strip. that is good.

we need to get some inside physical players.
