Wow...what an awful game in Baton Rouge. Indiana St was outrebounded 47-23, yet only lost by 11 and was in it the entire game. InSU shot 30%, LSU shot 34%, including 0-15 from 3. Indiana St had 1 assist to 12 turnovers. I would say neither team passed the 'eye' test...
Nice win for Mizzou St. First signature win for the league, hopefully the first of many...

The worst officiated game I have ever seen. There was a many a time in said game when two or three Sycamores would be on the ground and no foul would be called including one play when Jake Kelly drove to the basket and was up ended. LSU clearly had the advantage in the post game, Storm Warren and a Lottery draft pick in Mitchell.....it was a difficult game for us but also we couldnt hit anything tonight, we are a much better team than that and I believe we will show that.

In some other surprising results.........
Indiana beat South Carolina Upstate by only 8 at home..
Matt Roth played only two shot stints...four minutes total & made two FT's.
He got a minute, 40 secs right at the end of the 1st half, then came in as part of a 5-man line change late in the 2nd half with 6 minutes to go, with maybe Crean thinking the game was in hand - 15 pt lead.
But - two minutes later, with the lead shrinking, Roth was yanked again, in short order...
Crean re-inserted most of the starters (Verdell Jones, Pritchard, Watford, Rivers).
The five players in the game right at the trying to hold on to the shrinking lead were Jones, Rivers, Watfird, Creek, Elston - the 5 starters minus Pritchard who had foul trouble.
Kentucky with all their lottery draft picks needed a gave saving, last second shot in order to beat Miami of Ohio, 72-70.
John Wall and Patrick Patterson played 37-38 minutes!
Cincy barely got by Prairie View A&M with their 5-Star guy Lance Stephenson tallying 7 pts, Cincy trailed much of the way and were down by 8 at half.
LSU was 0-15 on 3-pointers but still knocked off Indiana State.
Why can't someone ever be 0-15 vs. us??

What's with Isiah Martin playing only 1 minute? It's not as if Leitnaker and Crawford played so well Indiana State didn't need Martin, they produced almost nothing between them. And how can a team play 4 guards for the entire game, and total only 1 assist? That's unheard of!

remember....some picked Indiana State ahead of Bradley because BU is weak in the paint!
The Sycamores' three centers (Leitnaker, Martin, and Crawford) combined for 26 minutes, 6 pts, 4 rebounds, 4 turnovers, no assists.
The only other production from any non-guard was 4 pts, 1 reb from redshirt frosh Koang Duluony
BTW-- UCLA lost to Cal State Fullerton with all five of their starters playing 38 minutes or more! And UCLA's home attendance was only 6000!
UCLA is ranked in the preseason Top 25!
...but again this is just the blowhards in the media buying into their own hype...as UCLA clearly is not a top 25 team!

considering the halftime score was 24-19 how are you suprised? jk...that was the one stat that I just went....What?!.....I believed we had more assists than that but...you cant complain about scorekeeping without being a douchebag....
