Along the lines of B.tv - I wanted to make sure you all caught the first wave of news regarding the MVC's video streaming initiative, our agreement with WSP (folks that run the Horizon League Network).
There is still more news to come, but this was announced last week.
MVC/WSP Announce Partnership
This is great news for MVC sports in general... though nothing is mentioned about MVC Men's Basketball??
...yet
I guess it won't be free like The Horizon?![]()
Is the Horizon still free this year? I got a postseason (last mar) e-mail about my account saying the conf tourney was paid subsciption and this year was likely to also be paid...
You may be right. But isn't the regular season still free? The MVC needs to air regular season games as well.
I would feel much better about paying a nice sum if the quality was as good as Horizon league has. I'll still pay this year, which unfortunately doesn't provide much motivation for BU to switch...
Agreed, I would be willing to pay double for better video quality.
Does anyone know if the Lewis game is available via BU TV. The website seems to be a bit of a joke when it comes to which games are available and essentially what you are paying for, for the full season.
I logged on and looked; It does not appear to be available as video stream . However, there is a free audio stream.
I seem to recall hearing last year that there was no video for the exhibition game because the coaching staff wanted it that way. Not sure if that was accurate, but that may be why the Lewis game isn't part of the package (if it is not to be added).
Without film it is harder for BYU to dissect the team but I'll bet you there will be a BYU guy in the stands scouting us just like I bet we are scouting them!
In person scouting from the stands is against the rules. Unless teams are playing in a tourney where teams play before or after each other. (like in Maui or Las Vegas, etc)
