Illini fans not happy with their non-conf schedules

Aren't football schedules planned years ahead? I could see where Cincy and Fresno may have been added when they were lesser programs. Anyway, everybody complains when non-conference schedules are full of cupcakes. I kinda like it this way. They should be battle tested for the Big Ten portion of their schedule, and a late win over Cincy could get them a better bowl game.
 
The whining in football is about home games. It's a no-win situation.

If you don't play enough home games, that's a lot of revenue lost.

Play too many, and you can't get good opponents to come play consistently.
