Congratulations to Anthony Parker! He signed a free agent deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers last night.

Here is news of a complex deal involving AP's former team, the Toronto Raptors, last night. They dealt Shawn Marion and Kris Humphries to free up salary-cap room and regain their eligibility to use the mid-level exemption in an effort to re-sign Parker, but it was too late.

Nice. This is good news for AP, and for us fans. We will definitely get to see more of AP on TV now that he's playing with Lebron.

The Cavs and Celts are gonna be a load this year. The Spurs are getting better as well, adding Jefferson and now Mcdyess. I think Turkoglu made a mistake by not staying in Orlando, they had a chance to real good.

The Magic will still be real good with Vince Carter there. I'd say they should even be better. If Vince Carter is on he is one of the premier scorers of this league.

Oh, no doubt the Magic improve with Vince, but man, with Turkoglu and Vince, and Dwight Howard and Rashard Lewis, they would have been a nightmare matchup all the more.

Dubl R 1 you are so right but with the cap and the economy it will be hard press for any team to have more then 3 All Stars on their team. :D The Lakers have a great chance with Artest taking the exception to make another deal. There are a few players out there that would take a one year deal. If Phil Jackson could control Rodman he can control anyone and Iverson is there for the taking. He would be an upgrade for them as long as he could become a pass first point guard.

On the record I'm not a Lakers fan.;-)

You're asking Phil to controll/change Iverson, but I do not think he changed Rodman.
Phil mostly ignored the stupid off the court stuff (that bothered others) and let Rodman be the perfect role player for the Bulls, a much-needed, extra rebounder.

Iverson did play the role of pass first point guard when he played for the Team USA. It would not be stretch especially at his age.

A blogger for the Toronto Globe &Mail has some nice things to say about Anthony Parker-

Not a bad opportunity for him, you have to say. If there’s one guy I’d like to see do well it’s Anthony Parker, one of the most decent people I’ve met in 15 years in the business. A smart, friendly, consistent person who will see about as many wide-open corner jumpers as have ever been seen playing with LeBron and Shaq, it’d be nice to see him knock down some big ones in the NBA Finals next year.

And AP's little sister, Candace, will star in a soon-to-be-seen ESPN commercial.-

Another couple more nice articles about AP-

Anthony Parker calls himself the Danny DeVito of the Parker clan.

“If you’ve seen my sister play, you know she’s not a shooter, but she is a great all-around player. She got all the positive genes in the family. If I had her genes, I’d probably be LeBron.” — Cavaliers guard Anthony Parker explaining why he can defeat his sister, WNBA MVP Candace Parker, in a game of H-O-R-S-E.

After all of his European Championships it will be nice (and fitting) to see AP finish his career as a champion with Cleveland. I think the Cavs now have ALL the pieces to win it all.

Two things....Never ever do anything wrong in the People Republic of Maryland...It is such a police state as there is.

Number two I believe after this his mood swings should clear up!

Two handguns and a shotgun?! Maybe he's a superhero vigilante at night? :)

I'll never understand some athletes who feel the need to carry around concealed weapons.
