As a side note that might effect what we do - Warren is back in the boot. Not sure what happened there. I know he was playing in practice for a few weeks at least, but nothing else. Has anyone else heard anything about it?

Yes, he has had a setback and is wearing the boot for now. But he is able to work out and even get on the court and shoot.

Setback. I don't like that word... we've already heard it too many times with regards to Warren. :?

Remeber the foot has a lot of nerve endings and the healing of small bones can always flair up until it is 100%. It does not mean he will not be ready come October it just means he is still a bit tender.

Let's get the best player available. If it is a guard maybe that person or Jake Eastman can redshirt. If it is a big man maybe we can move some of TB's minutes to the 3 from the 4 position.
Hard to believe a gaurd will help much next year as we are so deep, but a gaurd will be needed when DD and CR graduate.
A big could help next year especially if it means we go to a more traditional line-up of C,F,F,G,G for 10 or 15 minutes a game. It will mean though that we wont be able to recruit another big man for 2010/11 as that will give us 8 bigs that year. Hate to limit our options down the road like that, but if the guy is good it would be worth it.
If we get a real good big, lets take him. If we get a real good gaurd, lets take him. Lets get a good one what ever we do.

Theron Wilson is replaceable. What he gave us defensively at the 4 can be replaced by a number of guys collectively if not just by TB, and what he gave us offensively should be easily replaceable by Andrew Warren, and hopefully a healthy Will Egolf.

BB, I agree with you a lot and I will agree with you that TW or for that fact, anyone can be replaced. Yes TW will be replaced. Replacing a player is one thing but replacing a MVC First Teamer who played in 71 of 73 games in two years, scoring 938 Pt's (12.PG) (.464 fg%), 492 RB's (6.8PG), 34 blk's, 175 A's and 116 steals. He was 3rd in steals the his first year and first this year. His D down under was irreplaceable as he guarded the best there each game and players a lot bigger then him (while at 6'5). He had a heart like a lion and fought like one. Something you can not teach to a player. First team MVC players and players the like of TW just don't come along often. We were luckily to have had him if only for two years! Yes, he will be replaced. I am concerned by who and who will be his back up at the 4. To me this is more of a concern than the 5 which I think we will be alright with the players we have (SS,WE,JP and hopefully AT). At the 4, TB has shown he can rebound but needs a lot of work on his D and needs a short jump shot and a lot of work on his 3 shot. CR is 6'5, can shoot, has good D against guys his size and smaller but has not shown the desire and toughnest to mix it up down low against bigger and more skilled players in the paint. Not saying he can't but then again we are down in size at the 4 if he doe's. This is why I would like the ride to be a power forward 6'7 to 6'9 that can shoot and can mix it up down under like M.Sommerville was.
As for replacing TW offense we will need it to come from somewhere along with what we hope to get from AW if we can get him by this foot thing:!:

He has been able to work out and shoot for the last 2 months, yet is still having severe tenderness that his foot needs to be mobilized? That doesn't sound good at all, I hope they are or have done another MRI/X-rays on it. If surgery is needed, they need to do it as soon as possible. None of this messing around with rehab and hope it helps months later.
