Depaul's administration needs to figure out what they want to be. They made the decision to jump to a big boys league (Big East) but continue to fiscally manage their program like one of the chic mid-majors (Davidson, Butler, VCU, etc.). To be successful in the Big East, ACC, etc. you must have the resources allocated to compete on that level. Jerry Wainright isn't a bad coach, but he's a bargain coach for that league...(I'm assuming )
Right now, they're closer to Loyola than they are one of the upper eschelon Big East teams, and there's no evidence that they'll be improving anytime soon.
