uni goes to 7-1 league....BU played tough but didn't score for about 5 minutes in the 2nd half and uni wins on a badly reffed game IMO!

The reffing was horrid but we lost because we didnt make a field goal for 7 minutes in the second half. We knew it was going to be tough to win thier but this one hurts.

Badly reffed? That was a monstrousity of a last minute for that officiating crew.

CONGRATULATIONS UNI...you just got a HUGE gift from those refs.

Why is everyone (including Frank Bussone) talking about how hard we played and what a great effort this was? This isn't 5th grade. We choked away a double digit lead in the second half. Where was Theron? Did David Collins get locked in a bathroom stall in the second half?

There were some...issues, not like the SIU(that one was BAD) game though. Still fought tooth and nail.

Yup. Great effort by the Braves, but didn't get it done when it mattered. Give UNI credit for making shots when they were well guarded. You can't go 7 minutes without a FG in league play against anyone and expect to win. UNI is in the driver's seat now for the league title, with Creighton taking the inside track to 2nd. BU's going to have to get healthy at home to stay in contention for a top 3 finish, as we're only a game up on a struggling Drake, struggling Evansville, and surging SIU. We had our chance to separate, and didn't take advantage.

Officiating was poor, but it was poor on both ends. That being said, an intentional foul call at that point in the game in uncontionable. It was made by the same guy who was the 'star' of the game at UIC last year. I hope the league gets a chance to take a look at this, and I hope this guy is nowhere close to the conference tournament.

He has some explaining to do as to why the MVC doesn't get better refs than this.

Easy answer - Wednesday night is when most of the BCS plays. They have the cash, and they get the officials. That's the reason the Valley has tried to schedule more Tuesday and Sunday games this year. There are more good refs available those nights than there are on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The effort was great through the entire game, and Les told the team that after the game. He had to REALLY keep from tearing up the refs during the postgame (otherwise a suspension would have resulted), but he took the classy route and said nothing.

The good thing about this game again was the effort, and if we play like this the remainder of the season, we WILL win plenty of games, even one or two more on the road. Drake looked like garbage again tonight so they are definately beatable. So is Evansville. If we can get those two and win out at home which I think we now can do since we had UNI on the ropes tonight, that still maybe enough to at least share the conference title. I don't see UNI not losing at least a few other games this season.

We'll take it one game at a time, but two cupcakes at home should help Bradley regain some momentum.

Did anyone besides me have trouble with the online video feed? Totally s_ _ _ _ y reception. Second year in a row for this. They won't get my $ next year.

We had them where we wanted them. And WSU downed isu. It was a golden opportunity lost.

There has been lots of upsets so far this year. Yes, it was an opportunity lost, but not the ONLY one. UNI is beatable and they will lose some before the end of the season. Their next two are a roadie at Missouri St and a home game against illinois st. Those are two games they could lose, although they could win both too. We shall see, but let's take it one game at a time.

An absolutely ridiculous call. A really good effort against a good team on their floor. We could have gotten it done but I feel better about this game than I did SIU.

The difference was some clutch 3-point shooting down the stretch by UNI. BU shot well, but not well enough.
