I agree TB needs more like 15 minutes and thought it was funny that the television announcers said his playing time had increased....just after he got just 5 minutes the game before.

Thanks for the stats Shaunguth. These are very interesting to look at this far into the season. I like Taylor Brown and have watched most of our games, but would never have expected him to be that high up in projected points and rebounds.

Doing these stats, I've been able to watch very closely the progression and consistency of TB. I'm absolutely amazed he only played 3 minutes last night!
 
The thing that seems to hurt us the most when we lose is the stats of our post players, SIU"s Boyle and Evans 18 points 8 rebounds, Collins and Singh 6 points and 8 rebounds, the differential was worse in the Creighton game. Matt Salley at 6-7 gave us more production last season as far as post defense and rebounding plus I think he also had a higher scoring ave. This should not be a problem this season because we have 2 players that are bigger and have plenty of experience.

You just got to want to rebound, score and play D. You just got to want to bet your man and put your man on his butt. To **** Soft and not wanting to put it ALL on the line:!: If my old ragtime *** was their size, people wouldn't want any part of me:-o
I will say this in their defense, you can't play a effective post when your outside 15 to 20 feet from the hoop, trying to set screens for a poor shooting team from the 3 as we are:!: :roll:

Funny you mention this. It was just a year ago some of the people who keep saying Jim Les is playing the wrong people were clammoring for Matt Salley to be benched and for David Collins to get more playing time.

I would like to have Matt Salley back this year.;-)

The only people clammoring to have Collins play more minutes than Salley last year were those with a limited understanding of the game of basketball and those that were blindly enamored with the fact that DC is 7 feet tall.

And I agree with you...I wish we had Salley on this team as well.

OK B4L, you have gone for my heart. You know SS is one of my favorite and most respected players. I have posted numberous times how I admired how he has overcome all the injury's. I just think he could pick it up a notch. I know the nose think has slowed him down a bit but we need him more because the other guy just don't get it or have it. Sorry SS and thanks B4L. I guess I just got to let last night go. But there is no secret that when we were playing good ball and winning when the conf. play started Sam was playing more and the team was playing better. Need to start Sam and play him more. How's that for full circle:!::lol::biggrin:
