Bradley's leading scorer and rebounder is Thero Wilson (13.2 ppg, 7.6 rpg).

I noticed they shoot the three at .335 clip, add to that the bradley factor and you come up with a very respectable .440. Could be a long night at carver unless we can make a few ourselves...

Starting Five
??? Bradley will play its final non-conference tuneup of the year Tuesday when the Braves host SIU-Edwardsville at Carver Arena.
??? A NCAA Division I provisional program, SIU-Edwardsville is coached by former Bradley assistant coach Lennox Forrester, who served on Jim Les??™ staff from 2002-07.
??? In addition to Forrester??™s homecoming, Tuesday??™s game will feature a matchup of brothers: Bradley junior guard Dodie Dunson and SIU-Edwardsville freshman guard Brandon Dunson.
??? Bradley owns a 2-0 lead in the all-time series versus SIU-Edwardsville, winning both previous regular-season meetings at Carver Arena in 1986 and 2006.
??? Bradley is just 5-6 in its last 11 games played immediately before Christmas, but 11-4 all-time at Carver Arena in the final game before the holiday.

105th Season
??? Now in its 105th men??™s basketball season Bradley ranks 26th in NCAA Division I history with 1,521 wins.
??? Bradley played its first men??™s basketball game Jan. 1, 1903 defeating a YMCA program known as the Invincibles, 12-8.

Postseason Streak
??? The Braves are attempting to reach the postseason for a fourth consecutive season, a streak the program has not enjoyed since 1994-97.
??? In addition, Bradley has won at least one postseason game in each of the last three years, an accomplishment only previously achieved from 1949-51.

Three Is The Key
??? Due in large part to the loss of all-star big men Patrick O??™Bryant (early entry NBA lottery pick) and Marcellus Sommerville (graduation) following the 2006 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 season, head coach Jim Les installed a ???spread motion??? offense modeled after the Phoenix Suns??™ system in 2006-07.
??? Bradley has recruited to the system for three years and has assembled an athletic, skilled lineup that continues to fit with the uptempo style of play.
??? The system often utilizes a four-guard attack and has helped Bradley rank fourth nationally with 756 3-point field goals since the start of the 2006-07 season and finish among the two highest-scoring teams in the Missouri Valley Conference each of the last two years.
??? More notably, Bradley has won at least 21 games three consecutive seasons and is tied for eighth nationally with seven postseason wins the last three years.

New-Look Braves
??? While returning seven lettermen from the 2007-08 squad, Bradley is working six newcomers and a redshirt freshman into the lineup this season.
??? Bradley entered the season with only two scholarship players boasting more than one year of experience in the program -- fifth-year senior center Sam Singh and junior guard Andrew Warren.

Unique Staff Makeup
??? Bradley??™s coaching staff is believed to be one of just two in the country to boast two staff members with NCAA Tournament head coaching victories.
??? Seventh-year head coach Jim Les led the Braves to the 2006 NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, while second-year Bradley assistant Steve Merfeld coached Hampton to the second round of the 2001 NCAA Tournament.
??? North Carolina assistant Steve Robinson led Tulsa (1997) and Florida State (1998) to NCAA Tourney wins.

Graduate Players
??? For the fourth consecutive year, Bradley??™s roster features a player who already owns his degree.
??? Fifth-year senior center Sam Singh received his bachelor??™s degree in communications-public relations during commencement ceremonies May 17, 2008.
??? Previously, Brandyn Heemskerk (???05), Danny Adams (???06) and Daniel Ruffin (???07) all earned their degrees before completing their eligibility the following season.

Injury Bug Bites Again
??? For the third consecutive year, the injury bug has taken a big bite out of the Bradley lineup.
??? Junior guard Andrew Warren, the team??™s top returning scorer (13.2 ppg in 2007-08), has yet to suit up this season as he continues to recover from offseason surgery to repair a broken foot.
??? Sophomore center Will Egolf, who was making his third career start, suffered a torn ACL in his right knee with 10:02 remaining Nov. 29 versus East Tennessee State and underwent season-ending surgery Dec. 18.
??? Senior center Sam Singh suffered a broken nose Dec. 14 and is questionable for Tuesday??™s game.
??? The injury losses left the Braves with just three returning scholarship players for Saturday??™s trip to Milwaukee.

Newcomer Impact
??? With junior guard Andrew Warren (foot) likely out and sophomore forward Will Egolf (knee) unavailable, Bradley??™s rotation now features six newcomers and four returning players.
??? The six newcomers -- Dunson (30.3 mpg), Chris Roberts (26.9), Eddren McCain (20.4), Taylor Brown (13.7), Darian Norris (13.7) and Anthony Thompson (4.7) -- have combined for 1078 of the team??™s 2000 total minutes played.
??? The six rookies also combine to average 36.2 points per game, compared to 30.5 ppg by the four returning players in the current rotation.

Scoring in Threes
??? Bradley is fourth nationally with 756 total treys since the start of 2006-07.
??? Bradley became the first-ever Missouri Valley Conference team to make as many as 300 3-pointers in a season with 349 during the 2006-07 season and the Braves followed with 346 more last season.

Scoring Big
??? A player standing no taller than 6-foot-5 has led Bradley in scoring in 62 consecutive games, a streak dating back to Jan. 20, 2007 when 6-foot-8 Zach Andrews paced the Braves with 21 points versus Wichita State.

About SIU-Edwardsville
??? Southern Illinois-Edwardsville is in its first year as a NCAA Division I provisional program and the Cougars will join the Ohio Valley Conference when they reach full Division I status.
??? SIU-Edwardsville is under the direction of former Bradley assistant coach Lennox Forrester, who is now in his second year with the Cougars.
??? After going 17-11 last season in his first season with the Cougars, Forrester??™s two-year record was an even 19-19 heading into Monday night??™s game at Loyola-Chicago.
??? The Cougars returned only four letterman and one starter from last year??™s squad, which finished second in the west division of the Division II Great Lakes Valley Conference.
??? Tuesday??™s game will be SIU-E??™s 12th of the season, but only two of those games have been played at home.
??? The Cougars headed to Loyola in search of their first true road win (0-6) and they have split each of their two home (1-1) and neutral site (1-1) games.

Bradley-SIUE Series
??? Bradley owns a 2-0 lead in the all-time series against SIU-Edwardsville, winning both regular-season meetings at Carver Arena.
??? In addition to the two regular-season wins, Bradley has won three exhibition games against the Cougars.

??? Ironically, the brothers have rarely shared a court in an official game outside of the summer AAU circuit.
??? Dodie played his prep ball at Bloomington High School, while younger brother Brandon attended Bloomington Central Catholic.
??? Brandon Dunson was forced to sit out the fall semester after transferring from Chattanooga and was expected to make his SIU-Edwardsville debut Monday night at Loyola.

Red Sea Promotion

Carver Arena - Home of the Braves
??? The Peoria Civic Center??™s Carver Arena has served as the Bradley men??™s basketball program??™s home arena since the start of the 1982-83 season.
??? Now in its 27th year playing in downtown Peoria, Bradley enters Tuesday??™s game against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville with a 287-92 (.757) record at Carver Arena.
??? The Braves own a 127-30 (.809) non-conference record at Carver Arena.
??? Seventh-year head coach Jim Les owns a 38-6 (.864) non-conference home record, including a 33-3 (.917) record since the start of the 2003-04 season.

Getting To The Line
??? Bradley enters the weekend second in The Valley by averaging 25.5 free throw attempts per game.
??? By comparison, the 2007-08 Braves averaged 20.4 free throw attempts per game.
??? Through the first 10 games, Bradley has made 174-of-255 (.682) free throw attempts.
??? The Braves have outscored the opposition by 24 points, 174-150, at the stripe through 10 games.

Effeciency At The Line Aids The Cause
??? Bradley is 4-0 when shooting at least 70 percent from the free throw line this season.
??? By contrast, the Braves are 1-5 when shooting less than 70 percent at the stripe.

Leading The Parade To The Line
??? Senior forward Theron Wilson continues to lead the parade to the line.
??? After easily pacing the Braves with 179 free throw attempts last season (4.8 FTA/gm), Wilson already has attempted 74 charity shots in the first 10 games (7.4 FTA/gm).
??? Wilson already has been fouled 71 times in 10 games, drawing better than 32 percent of the total fouls (218) committed against the Braves.

Wide Margins
??? Eight of Bradley??™s first 10 games have been decided by double-digit margins, including each of the last six games.
??? Bradley is 2-0 in games decided by single-digits this year.

Turnover Pace Slowing
??? After committing 23 turnovers in back-to-back games at Florida and versus UMKC, Bradley has taken better care of the ball in the last seven games.
??? Including just 13 turnovers Saturday, Bradley has averaged 14.1 turnovers in the last seven games.
??? Despite the slowed pace, Bradley still suffers from a -0.3 turnover margin and a six-point deficit (165-171) in points off turnovers.

Maui Jim 3-Point Challenge
??? Peoria manufacturer Maui Jim is sponsoring Bradley??™s 3-point shooting in 2008-09, with proceeds to benefit the Jimmy V Foundation for Cancer Research.
??? For every 3-pointer the team makes throughout the season, Maui Jim will donate $10 to the Jimmy V Foundation and the company is encouraging fans to join the challenge.
??? For every pledge, participants will be entered into a postseason drawing for a pair of Maui Jim Sunglasses, as well as two tickets to the 2008-09 Bradley Basketball Postseason Banquet.
??? For more information and to make your pledge, visit the men??™s basketball page at www.BradleyBraves.com and click on the Maui Jim 3-Point Challenge graphic.

I'm surprised there aren't more ledge jumpers for this one. Because apparently some actually thought ETSU was going to beat us ...

They were bad, as well as SEMO and SIU-E are. A 15-20 point win should be expected. Nobody can put basically any stock in these games, good or bad.

Bradley has gone 2-2 against the four teams who have similar talents to our team (UIC, Richmond, Butler, Milwaukee). We've gone 0-2 in games we should have lost (Mich. State, Florida). And, we've gone 4-1 against teams we must beat (UMKC, Fla. Gulf Coast, ETSU, SEMO). Chalk this one up to the last category, which are the games that really are just record padding.

I care about how many good (or at least above average) teams we can beat. The real SIU game is Sunday.

After the UW-M game JL looked pretty pissed in the news conference. I'm sure the team is getting worked over pretty hard and I'd expect them to be mad and take this game to SIU-E. Anything less then 40 minutes of hustle and tight D will be a let down. We could have an off night shooting but still beat this team through defensive intensity.

I will be disappointed if SIUE gets over 55 points...if they get less than that it'll be a success in my mind...if they get over 55 points...even if BU gets 90..I'll be disappointed.

I don't think SIU-E can beat us. But to me, it'll be a hollow victory no matter how much we beat them by. Looking forward to see what our team can do against the other SIU.

Don't forget- tonight's halftime promotion- Christopher- the YMCA Guy. It's worth the price of admission by itself!:D

In an unusual scheduling move, SIU-E played at Loyola-Chicago Monday night, and then they come to Peoria and play tonight on back-to-back nights.

They lost to Loyola 89-65

This can't be fair to the players! Will they have the legs to compete. Well if we do not win this one going away with our bench in I'd be now really disappointed.

I'm disappointed w/ the starting lineup listen on PJStar...haven't we learned anything :rolleyes:
