Dave Reynolds 12/22

That seems like a pretty fair assessment of where BU stands right now. It seems like this team could really head in just about any direction from this point on. If AW can somehow get healthy and JW shows ups as good as advertised, things could turn around in a hurry. Then again, if AW's foot fails to heal and JW can't get cleared to play, things could get even worse. Or, of course, we could just hang around .500 all year.

Is it too late to write Santa and ask for Option A for Christmas??

At this point I's say neither AW nor JW would add a lot immediately. They would both need to work into shape and then the rotation. If both cam on board Dec 31st their real impact may show up March 1st.

Honestly though, do you really think they'd take us anywhere?

Andrew then wastes a season...

That's what I was saying without saying it! I said they would have an impact may (key word) come March 1st. I really do not think players unless superstars can have that great of an impact for 1/2 a season if they have to work themselves into shape. What we need is a banging 5 dunk in your face and go out and grab every rebound guy and a I can create and shoot on anyone and hit from deep shooter both in shape.

...those two AW, JW..start playing anytime soon and they will make an immediate impact....

mentally alone, that would give this team a huge lift...but the talent that they bring will help as well....it would simply not take that long for either to get acclimated to the team and playing..... a couple weeks of practice and a game or 2....

The biggest difference those 2 would make is they would give us more size on the perimeter as having a 6-5 and 6-9 player that can shoot would be a very hard matchup for any opponent.

Nothing makes much of a difference if we insist on playing lineups of 5'11", 5'11", 6'0", 6'5" and 7'0" (who plays like he's 5'0").

Teams just won't win consistently with lineups like this.

Play TWO big guys ... especially since none of our current guards can shoot threes consistently well.

At least if we can't shoot we can outrebound some teams. If Wilson plays his natural position (the three), we're way better.

The ideal depth chart now should be:

McCain / Maniscalco / Norris
Dunson / Maniscalco / Norris
Wilson / Roberts
Brown (the one guy who actually plays BIGGER than his height) / Singh (when healthy again)
Collins / Thompson

AW and JW may make a difference, but I think the problem is HOW Bradley plays not WHO plays. Fix the defense, the fundamentals, the rebounding and the intensity and I don't care who plays, the results will be SIGNIFICANTLY better.
