Some BU fans already know about Justin Gant. He is a talented 6'8" power forward who just finished his freshman season at Terre Haute North HS.

Bradley offered him a scholarship a couple months ago, and he really likes Bradley and the coaches. Now major schools are starting to notice him. He also plays for the Spiece AAU team, the same program that Andrew Warren, Eric Gordon, and many others played for.

2011 forward Justin Gant close to IU offer?
http://indiana.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=814871

Forward Justin Gant will only be a sophomore next year at Terre Haute North, but he has already caught the attention of many college coaching staffs. Bradley has already offered the 6-8, 190-pound Gant, and another Division I scholarship could be forthcoming.
Gant was in Bloomington earlier this week for an unofficial visit, and a scholarship offer was one of the things Tom Crean talked to him about.
Gant, who is being recruited by most of the area schools, helped North make a run in the playoffs last season.
Crean and his staff...have taken notice of Gant, who was in Bloomington on Tuesday for an unofficial visit. Gant said he and his family had a good experience spending time with Crean and the rest of the IU coaches.
Gant, who is a member of the Spiece Select 15-and-under squad, says he is mainly an interior player, but he can step out on the perimeter and knock down an open shot.
The stop at IU was the first of a few visits for Gant, who will be at Butler and Purdue in the coming weeks. Currently, none of the schools recruiting him stand out to him.
"I like to play as like an inside-out forward," he said. "I can go inside and work inside, but I can also come out and drive. I've been working on my outside jumper, trying to get that down and my three-point shot down."

Justin Gant was the MVP at the
Classic Run N' Slam in Fort Wayne.

He's a solid player... from my rival High School. It'd be tough for me to root for him... heck... he's a talented big man... I could easily root for him if he was in a Braves Uni...

Justin Gant is done playing AAU ball for the summer. He received a second offer from Indiana State, in addition to the offer from Bradley.

Indiana, Purdue, and Butler have began to recruit Gant. I don't think it is likely that he leaves the state.

Rivals had a premium article last week that mentioned Justin Gant

http://purdue.rivals.com/content.asp?cid=827060

"Justin Gant - 6'8, Terre Haute North- approaching 6-foot-9, Gant has the
skills of a wing and a power forward. Runs the floor, shoots it well and his
unique agility help him score inside against stronger opponents. Has gone
through a huge growth spurt. Before he grew he played a lot of guard.
Attended Indiana's June Elite Camp."

Gant was U15 Run 'N Slam MVP

Just two year sago after his 8th grade season he was 6-0 and here was his picture then

"NBA Workshop Award Winner and one of camp's top shooters to three.
Much vertical growth remaining and predictably a Big SG In High School.
He rebounds hard, shows great off ball defense and court awareness."

Justin is just going into his junior year and is Class of 2011,
and I would hope BU has him at "HIGH PRIORITY"

That was after the 6th grade. ;)

The BU coaches will get a look at 2011 recruit Justin Gant while in Terre Haute, and he will be at the game tonight.

The Indiana Rivals site has a new article on Justin with some video.
It may require a password.

It appears that even if you don't have a Rivals account, and can't read the article, that you can still watch the video by clicking on the link below.
The video of Justin Gant came from Terre Haute North's game last Friday night at Indianapolis Warren Central.
Gant finished with 17 points, eight rebound and four blocked shots.
He is #50 in the dark uniform.

From all indications, Gant is Butler's #1 priority in '11 as a 3/4. From a well-sourced opinion, BU is going to be strong/HTB, here.
