Mississippi Valley State at Creighton at 7:05 pm CST

St. Louis University at SIU at 7:05 pm CST

SIU-Edwardsville at Evansville at 7:05 pm CST
in a game that matches coaches Lennox Forrester against Marty Simmons. They both played at Evansville, and have known each other for a long time and worked together at Evansville under former coach Jim Crews.

The Saint Louis fans were quite upset and felt they had been homered...
A lot of fouls were called but about 40% more were called on the Billikens, and the Saluki's shot a simliarly higher pct. of T's than the Billikens, making 10 more. Plus several key charging fouls looked to be able to go either way and cost SLU baskets.
The fact that four of the Billiken starters spent time on the bench with foul trouble, may have helped SIU a bit.
Here are a few fun comments from the fans of both teams...

Still...with a long time regional rival, how does SIU still only draw about 6000?

btw-- how come some of the observant SIU fans only NOW seem to notice Chris Lowery is about 50 pounds slimmer?
We were discussing it here a month ago!!
