Evolution of AW

Double D

How about the season that AW has put together. His progress has been amazing! His defensive efforts, his aggressiveness on offense and the recovery from his injury.

I know AW's Dad was upset with us for wanting more from him earlier this year. Many of us tried to reassure him that we saw so much potential and we were just hoping for better.

Well we are seeing it now! Great job AW, and the best is still yet to come!:)

AMEN & AMEN
He will go down as one of the best to come out of BU and he will help me not to miss JC as much the next 2 years.
We might get upset w/ the way the team plays at times but JL has brought in some very good players so we are not always trying to reload. DR & JC leave and we have AW, TW and SamMan coming back. If the other guys improve as much as ZA and Boogie, even WF did from the 1st year to the 2nd year we are going to be in fine shape for quite a while.

Andrew Warren.................here are his stats since he broke his hand.....

2 games,
16 ppg,
9-14 (64.3%) from the floor,
6-8 (75%) from 3-pt,
7-10 (70%) from the FT Line,
4 steals
and BU is 2-0 in tournament play in that span.

I THINK BU has lacked a leader this year especially a vocal leader. I am HOPING that AW can fill that role next year. I think it will help our intensity and our defense. We have those at times this year, but not for 40 minutes. This past game against Ohio is an example. Please step up next year, AW, and be the man.

You have to think that there are going to be some great matchups between AW and O in the next two years. Something similiar to AP and Shea Seals.

AW's growth this year has been great. He and Sam are great examples of why we need to continue going for the 4 year player. When they blossom, especially early, the program gets so much more out of them.

Looking ahead - We are going to need another perimeter player next year to keep teams from keying on Andrew. The presence of JC keeps teams honest right now. We're going to need someone (likely Dunson or Roberts) to step in and be a legitimate perimeter presence to keep teams from focusing solely on AW.

I think TCS could do it as well. He certainly has the ability, it will be a matter of improving on the entagibles.

I was pleased with his progress at times during the injuries and suspensions. I have been dissapointed that he hasn't even seen the floor in the two CBI games.:(

That has been baffling to me as well. It seems like JL has gone out of his way to get next year's guys some early minutes, especially ones who didn't sniff the floor during the conference season. Yet TCS, a kid who saw some significant minutes, has back-to-back DNP's. With Ruff hurting the way he is, I can hardly believe there's been no spot to get TCS a few minutes.

I love the way Andrew's game has developed and it's great to see him continuing to get better. Still at times I think he is too unselfish, I know that Daniel and Jeremy are what make our offense go, but as Andrew takes a more prominent role in next year's team I hope he is more determined to get his own shots. Sometimes I feel like he fades out on the offensive end of the floor, and by no means is it entirely his fault there are only so many shots to go around. He played great last night in what was an off night for Daniel.

More like an off month for Daniel.

Agree.

I am very happy with Warren's production this year, he improved greatly, and I still see potential for him on the offensive side of the ball. He should be a great player the next couple of years. I think he will step up and be one of the team leaders, but Sam M. really looks and feels like he will assume that role by next year and definitely by the time he is an upperclassman.
