Thanks BU fans.com

I wore a red sweater last night, but JMoney....you just had a t-shirt on so Luciano definitely wasn't talking about you.
When you graduate and start raking in the income, you can afford a sweater.

My Red Sweater was emblazoned with the BU logo and I am **************** proud to wear it.
In fact, I took it to the Cleaners today, to get it cleaned to wear in St.Louis.
I plan on watching #20 lead us to victory, wearing said sweater.

IHeartBU, your avatar is looking dangerously like Scouters, you may want to consider that.but is Rupert Holmes that media magnate guy who owns Fox?
:)

And scouter...that photo is downright obscene, and the mere "outting" of it completely disqualifies Phil Luciano from every being considered to have an intelligent, informed opinion.

Here it is and I am sure you'll agree.........

Aww, Scouter and I may not always agree, but we were friends before the board and, I hope, will be so after. (Besides, I had the Kool-Aid way before Scouter had his anti-Kool-Aid. As a season-long drinker of that sugary brew, I'm not abandoning it yet. Unless I get a beer instead ... hmmm ... )

In reading this thread, I also want to chime in.I have been a regular visitor and reader of Bradleyfans since the inception, but this is my first post.I am a 20 year season ticket holder, and an intense fan of all local sports, not just Bradley.
I want to say two things about this board, and I want to thank the people or organization responsible for it.
This board has more accurate and useful information than any other board, blog, or even newspaper web site. You cover Bradley basketball thoroughly and with accuracy, but also Bradley soccer and other sports, and even coverage of other Valley teams and local high school sports. And you sometimes have the facts days and weeks before the other people stumble on them.Just about everything left off this board isn't worth knowing about.
Then I will compliment that you don't have the petty name callng and bickering so prevalent on every other bulletin board and even so pervasive in the press, where they seem to slam anyone with an alternate opinion.I am also one of the redsweatered fans who the press think is not entitled to think and have an opinion.
If anyones opinion shou7ld simply be discounted out of hand it would be the guy who must write and say whatever he has to just to feed his family. This is actually the guy whos opinion is so obviously biased by what serves him best, that we really never need to know of it.
Thank you to all who write and contribute here, look for me to post again in a couple years.
Keep up the good work, and consider becomeing a subscription site to keep the few bullies and the flamers off of here.I will pay the fee readily.

Thank you BUproud.
And I also want to thank the dozens of other members who have sent us PM's and emails expressing the same sentiments that we have a great forum for Bradley fans.

One thing I want to emphsize is that everyone is entitled to an opinion on this matter, and any matter. We will allow and defend posters rights to their opinions. However, I concede we do have some limits when lines are crossed per our rules of posting. The rules exist to help make this site a welcome and pleasant place for the fans.

And I also would consider the opinions of our posters here to be as sincere and thought-out than any of the published opinion pieces in the media.

Anyone should consider that the media columns are written by people who are paid to have that opinion, and maybe to "stir the pot". Those factors can and do affect their objectivity. I am not diminshing those opinions, but rather that saying that anyone's claim that their viewpoint is somehow superior, or that the published opinions in the newspaper are less biased than people who wear red sweaters is simply not true.

Tornado, I've been wondering this for a little while now: do you have some sort of grudge against Scouter?

Most likely, you owned a restaurant somewhere and Scouter must have come by and ate you out of business. He is soley responsible for a 17% hike in restaurant insurance in the central Illinois area and he currently involved in 3 class action lawsuits naming "all you can eat buffets" as defendants for false advertising.

Why once I even saw him eat so many happy meals that he was able to build a 7-foot tall functional slide out of disgarded boxes for the dozens of children that gathered to watch throughout the afternoon. I've never seen such a mix of joyful, yet disgusted faces.

Abe, I think you, me, BUBraves2006 and Scouter are the only ones who might even remotely know what you're talking about ...

No, abe, I do not know scouter, but hope we might meet sometime.
I just came back from the Braves Scholarship Society luncheon,
but I didn't see anyone fitting your desription there. I would assume had he been there, he would have tried to steal my dessert brownie.

You forgot to mention they closed U-Hall cafeteria because I ate all the food. ;)

I had class for much of the morning and early afternoon so tornado and I couldn't cross paths. But if we ever did, I'm sure it would be quite a cordial meeting! :)

Tornado and I have differing opinions on, well, almost everything, but I'm sure we'd have a pleasant conversation if we ever met face-to-face instead of through Internet speak.

Hey, a few of the BU students and I met before the game Tuesday and they accompanied me into the Braves Scholarship reception room (pretty much off-limits to all but the few in the BSS), and hopefully they enjoyed meeting with the fans who are the real solid lifelong supporters of BU basketball, and the coaches and BU personnel who visit in the BSS room.
Seriously, at some game in the future, let's get together and I want you to be my guest and have a nice pregame meal and shoot the bull, OK?
If BU misses the NCAA and lands a home NIT game, I'll PM you.....
As I told JMoney, nothing makes me feel young again like having a few BU students hanging out with me!

This is much better than the PJ Star board that is moderated by ISU fans.

If anybody would like the full story and the biased moderating and even who the moderators are just send me a pm.

I love sharing this closely guarded secret........

Tornado you are the man...the BSS room was pretty cool. I especially liked the coaching staff contingent that reads the scouting reports before gametime that's a nice touch. I am a huge Bradley fan but I can't lie, I became a Bradley fan four years ago and had never heard anything about them before that, so it's cool to talk to the guys that have been around for awhile and seen all the history here. Someday that will be me.

If we accomplish nothing else on this site, then I can still be happy if we have helped just one Bradley student become a lifelong fan of Bradley basketball!

You all get some of the credit but I'm going to attribute most of that to Jim Les, Patrick O'Bryant, Tony B, Will, Ruff, DA, JC, Cellus, Zach, and Boogie. And I almost forgot JJ.

I was a fan before I found the site, now I am an cool-aid drinking, red-sweater (hoodie) wearing fanatic. Love the site, slightly addicted :)
