Ruffin = Team Defense

1st 10 games leading up to (including part of) Ruff's injury, BU gave up an average of 68.6 pts a game.

While Ruff was out (including Butler, VCU and ISU where he wasn't close to 100%), BU gave up an average of 76.2 points a game.

Since his return (where he STILL isn't 100% but getting closer), Bradley has given up an average of 52.3 points a game.

I NEVER would have believed 1 MAN would make such a difference... I am amazed at seeing how much better we are with Ruff.

The pressure he puts on the ball makes it a lot harder for opposing teams to run their offense and look at Holsingers line from last night compared to the last time we played them without Ruffin.

NO doubt DR makes us a better defensive team......we also have played a few of the lower MVC teams which never hurts.

Yes, yes... but when Ruff was down.... BU had many chances against lower MVC teams. And we gave up many points and lost.

The same way we replaced O'Bryant, Sommerville, Bennett, and Wright last year (which several of us thought would be impossible). We may tweak our style of play a bit. We'll bring in some new guys to fill a void, and guys who are only role players now who we never dreamed could become stars will step up. We have a pretty good freshman PG who's only going to get better, a sophomore future POY candidate alongside him, and I think some pretty talented young big men. We'll be fine.

I agree with BB AGAIN! We'll be fine. SM and AW will be better TW could move to the 3, RA will be a beast at the 4/5 and DC will also have a summer in which to improve. Next year starting line up could be pretty good SM, AW, TW, RA, DC? The bench will be nice also TCS, WE, AT and we'll have to see how the new guys can contribute.
