  • BU recruit- Chris Harrison-Docks- possible transfer

Chris Harrison, a freshman 5'10" guard at Louisville Trinity High School, has reportedly been offered a scholarship by Bradley. Since he's just a freshman, there is not much information about him on the internet recruiting sites.--

Scout has a new article (10-20-08 ) with a brief report on Chris Harrison from the Pangos All-Midwest Frosh/SophCamp in Chicago.--

Chris Harrison, PG – When evaluating point guards there a number of things scouts look for. Among the highest on the list is decision making and that’s something that Harrison proved to be a strength throughout camp. The 5-foot-11 prospect out of Louisville (Ky.) Trinity is a tough competitor that’s equipped with an impressive handle, good court vision and a nice shot from long range.

It's tough to try to compete vs. a team that has made it to the NCAA tourney championship the last 2 seasons when you're a team that couldn't make it out of last place in the conference. In a couple years hopefully we'll be in better position to beat out other schools for good hoopsters, 'cause they'll think they might be on a conference championship team.

Chris Harrison-Docks, who was recruited strongly by Bradley and ended up at Butler. Many felt he could end up the starter at point guard sometime this season as a freshman. But just before the season starts, he has a falling out with Coach Brad Stevens, and announces he is leaving Butler.

Page Not Found (404): It looks like you're lost... The page you are looking for no longer exists.

"I believe that another school would better compliment me both personally and athletically," said Harrison-Docks in announcing his departure. "I want to thank everyone who has supported me during my time here at Butler and may find disappointment in my decision. I wish my teammates and coaches the best of luck."

The Indianapolis Star just profiled Chris Harrison-Docks in yesterday's newspaper-

Chris Harrison-Docks is a former Bradley recruit who Bradley first offered a scholarship back in October, 2008 when he was a freshman at a small high school in Louisville, KY. He then moved to a different high school in Michigan, but remained on Bradley's radar even after the coaching change. He committed to Butler in April, 2011, but he has now left the Butler team, and I understand he has been given his release. That means he can now contact other schools about transferring.

The good news for Bradley fans is that I have heard that one school he has expressed interest in is Bradley. Look for a visit here real soon.

if he transfers to BU, tho, he'd have to pay his own way this year because we have no open scholarships

even then - Geno said this about who he is targeting with his final two scholarships for next year - 2013
"At this point, the Braves have two more scholarships available to give for next season.
Ford has indicated one of them is targeted for a big post player and the other for a forward"
We need two more impact guys with size and athleticism to replace what we??™ll lose from this year??™s senior class,??? he said."

He would likely transfer and start at the beginning of the 2nd semester, since it is too late to enroll for the 1st semester and get credits. That would mean paying his own way for just 1 semester at most.

He would have to do the same where ever he transferred, unless they had unused scholarships, and that isn't very common.

Chris would be a player with "impact" potential, so even though Geno wasn't planning on looking for another guard, we are recruiting CH-D.

I hope your right and we are recruiting CH-D but we do need two more bigs for next year. Maybe someone won't be back. That's always a possibility
