I came across this about Taylor Brown's older sister, Jade Brown--
http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/.../07guide-3.pdf (scroll down to page 2)
She was a scholarship volleyball player at the University of Maryland 2003-2007.
Stats--
And here are father Rick Brown's NBA stats. He was 6'10", 215 lbs, and played at Mississippi State University, was a 1st round draft pick by the Golden State Warriors (13th pick overall), and played 2 1/2 seasons with them, then played 2 1/2 seasons with the Atlanta Hawks.--

As I stated earlier doesn't the team he transfers to have to petition the NCAA for him to play right away?
He could STILL come here and play next year I would think?

Yeah..thats why I would think we could still land him. (McGee)

As far as my opinion on this guy...let's look at risk/reward. This guy is scholarship #13, has 4 years, has size, and has pedigree. Show me the downside in this! I don't care if this guy is a 4 year benchwarmer, he's our last scholie, and he's a big 4 year kid who's dad played in the NBA. There's no downside at all, NONE, and credit Jim for seeing this and making the offer right away. Between offers from Les and McDermott, I think clearly Jim's NBA ties helped us quite a bit with this commit. When you get guys to committ without even seeing campus, it's either real fishy (Julian Wright to KU) or a great sell (Taylor Brown to BU). Well done Jim.
With the unique circumstances, I wonder if TB will be on campus soon?
We're 0-2 with recent Browns (Jermaine and Ray), I think the 3rd time is the charm here. What can 'BROWN' do for you? With his eligibility and pedigree, I think he can do a lot.Onward and Upward!

Welcome to BU Taylor. You will love it here.
I like that BU got a 4 year forward. With another verballed for next season. That would give us 3 years in a row of getting size players with 4 years to devlop. I like how this is going. Size but also athleticism. Just need JL to teach them all how to shoot the 3
Great find dogs. If you would have driven to the watering hole I am at, it would have been a long drive.
We need our campus spies to get to Hausler and file some reports.
Congrats to the staff and thanks for all of the long hours."Let's make some noise".
