2007 BU commitment- Sam Maniscalco

Couldn't agree more, BU Fan.
Bradley fans will love Sam, and smart does describe him well.
Here are some facts.
As a junior, he led his school to the Sectional semi's against Jeffrey Jordan's Wilmette Loyola.
Loyola has several other fine players, at least two of which are getting some D-I looks, but Maniscalco's team is basically Sam plus role players. He literally carries this team himself and it shows as St. Pats was outrebounded by a much bigger Loyola 40-21.
Chicago St. Patrick is Class AA school with little or no real basketball history in IHSA.
They've won a few regionals over the years but never gone past Sectional, yet almost did it this year with the loss to Loyola.
We'll see how he does next year, his senior year, but averaging 22 points as a junior is impressive.

I do know that in Chicago and his teammates call him "Scalco." I have been in and out of the chicago area many times and have heard them refer to Sam as "scalco" which also goes along with his last name. So lets refer to sam as "Scalco."

Jeez, I can't wait to see this kid on the floor, he is everything I want in a PG/Team Leader. He is going to do great things at Bradley.
