Here are a few clips from the article--
Marshall Henderson, a 6-foot-2 combo guard turned in a solid summer with the Dallas Mustangs, his traveling team.
Henderson’s junior year at Hurst (Tex.) Bell has produced 24 points per game, 5 assists and 6 rebounds thus far.
“With my team I’m playing point guard and some off guard,” Henderson said. “Most of the schools say they that with my shooting ability I could be a two guard but they want me to be a point guard. It depends on the school. “
Stanford, Bradley, Oklahoma and Notre Dame fancy him as a point. Gonzaga and Colorado like him as a shooting guard while Utah and Creighton point to his combo ability.
With early offers from Bradley, Utah, Notre Dame, Colorado and Stanford, Henderson’s going to have a buffet of programs to pick from.
“We’ve got it to about 8 schools and in my mind Bradley is probably the leader because I love that conference that they’re in,” Henderson said.

Marshall Henderson and his high school team played in a holiday tournament, the Whataburger tournament in Dallas, and Henderson was one of the stars. He averaged 24.5 ppg for the tournament.

According to this latest Rivals article posted today (1/2/08 ), Texas A&M is recruiting him hard--
http://www.chicagosports.rivals.com/...2&pr_key=60550 (the article is probably a premium article)

But he is a 2009 recruit, so he isn't likely to commit until this summer or fall at the earliest. I think BU still has a chance.

You are going to leave the recruitment of a key player to Wango ???? DRU...step away from the bar you have had too much.

What is the line on the first half tonight ???

Wango could barely tend bar, let alone coordinate the recruitment of a Texas HS player!

I would like to know what the over/under for the game is tonight, and I'm sure Wango has that information committed to memory.....at least what little he has left.

Has Henderson made a visit to the Hilltop? I think MH could have a good career at BU and the offense seems to fit his style of play.....we better stay close on him before somebody big swoops in and takes him away!

PS..........maybe we could get on the the houston's to check MH out and give us a report!

                  No, he hasn't visited, yet.

A new premium article on the Scout network reports on Marshall Hnederson's recruiting.

"Oh yeah, there has been a lot of coaches coming out this year," Henderson said.
Stanford, Gonzaga, Utah, Notre Dame, Marquette, Baylor, Oklahoma, Creighton, Bradley and Harvard are those that have caught a game, Henderson said.
Gonzaga is one of my dream schools," Henderson said. "I've been liking them ever since I was little. I've always loved Duke, North Carolina and Gonzaga. Reality hit me. I'm like 'Oh my gosh!' It is awesome to have an offer from them."
Henderson said he has been to Notre Dame before and plans on making a return trip to South Bend in the near future and the trip north could come as soon as this weekend or next. Henderson said he will visit Utah and Bradley in the next two months, too......

His options are narrowed to those that have offered. Gonzaga, Notre Dame, Colorado, Stanford, Bradley and Utah have stepped up with the free education.
Henderson said he doesn't have a timeline for his decision

I wonder if we're still his favorite now that the Zags have offered. He sounds excited to get it. I really like this guy and hope we still have a chance.

WOW..........that doesn't sound too good.....with zaga being his "dream school" and going back to ND for a 2nd visit when he hasn't even been to the Hilltop once yet.....I'm starting to think MH has some schools ahead of BU!

Stanford has a real nice campus and it also sounds like he is academically gifted.

Marshall Henderson was a guest of Bradley, as were several other kids tonight.

I will be sending out more info privately about the recruits at the game.

Big Mike, you made my stomach drop when I scrolled down this thread and saw MH as your avatar!!!

I REALLY want this guy. Funny, I was just telling my brother on the way home from the game about this guy.
