Just to note, Beckham is back at New Hampton Prep School and I doubt he will make another visit to Bradley. A school is only allowed to pay for one all-expenses paid trip for a recruit, so Beckham would have to pay for another visit himself. I don't think that's likely. He is still considering Bradley, but he apparently wants to wait longer to make a commitment.

We'll just have to sit back and hope that Mississippi State and Kentucky don't decide to make Beckham a priority...if either one does, we will be out of it with Twany.

As much as we would like to believe that, I doubt it...Curry is only a big fish in a smaller pond because no one in a big pond wanted him out of HS.
If Curry would have gotten a BCS offer out of HS, he wouldn't have returned McKillop's phone calls. That's just the way it is in the recruiting game unfortunately...

True but when a kid sees his performance he MIGHT just think about his immediate playing time and that big things CAN happen at smaller ponds.

I agree with you...I think that seeing the national attention Curry has gotten over the past two years SHOULD make the two and three star HS kids that are getting some BCS offers think twice about risking going to the big school, getting lost in the shuffle, and riding the pine...However, I just think in the end, these guys have too many people steering them toward the BCS offer...and I think these kids still feel like taking a 'lesser' offer would be a sign of weakness...like they are admitting to the whole country that they don't have confidence in their own abilities to be able to play in the Big 10, Big East, ACC, SEC, or Big 12.
I wish that kids took a look at the big picture more often when they are being recruited and took the offer that put themselves at the school that gives them best overall situation for their college experience (to get a good education, to get playing time, to have a chance to win a lot of games, to be surrounded by good people, to play for a coach that you like and respect, etc.)...because 20, 30, 40 years down the road, the overall college experience that you had as a student-athlete will be far, far more important than what conference you played (or more likely, sat the bench) in.

I'm not sure Curry was so unknown.. I don't know anything about it, but his dad was an NBA player... SO I'm sure he was well connected.

Colleges certainly knew who Stephen Curry was because of his father, but Stephen was not seriously recruited by any BCS-level schools out of HS. He wanted to go to Virginia Tech (his dad's alma mater), and they only offered him a spot as a walk-on...
He was really, really thin coming out of high school, so the only schools that pursued him were mid-major level programs...Davidson, Wofford, William and Mary, High Point, and Winthrop...those were the schools that I think were most interested in him.

This kid sounds like a similar player to Beckham, not as tall. So we'll see if this influences his decision.
