  • Bradley recruit- Class of 2008- Jeremy Robinson

Jeremy Robinson is a talented sophomore at Decatur Eisenhower high school. He transferred to Decatur from Mississippi prior to this year. While a student in Mississippi he gave a verbal committment to University of Mississippi. But now that Ole Miss is changing coaches, he is backing off his committment.
Bradley is now recruiting Robinson. Note that Bradley is the only midmajor among those schools recruiting him, including Clemson, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Purdue, Tennessee, & UNLV.--

It has already been posted here that Bradley is also recruiting his teammate at Decatur Eisenhower Lewis Jackson. Jackson is one of the top point guard prospects in the country for the class of 2008

Prior discussion about Jackson (scroll about 2/3 way down this page)--

Here is more on potential Bradley recruits for the class of 2008, Jeremy Robinson, Lewis Jackson, and Matt Roth.

As noted above, Robinson is a 6'8" forward from Decatur Eisenhower. Lewis Jackson is a 5'10" point guard, also from Decatur Eisenhower, and Matt Roth is a 6'3" shooting guard from Washington high school.

Here is a new Rivals article from 5/23/06-- sorry it is a premium article--

It discusses several top Iowa recruits for the class of 2008--
Here are clips about a few of the Iowa recruits that Bradley is also interested in--
Two big time players from Decatur Eisenhower High School that are part of the 2008 class will also be traveling to Iowa City for the first weekend in June. According to Adams, both Lewis Jackson and Jeremy Robinson will be at Iowa's Elite Camp.

"Lewis is an extremely quick kid who really looks to set up everyone else first, which you don't see a lot in the summer from point guards. He is extremely quick and athletic and has great leaping ability. He can 360 dunk or windmill with ease and he is only 5-foot-9," said Adams.

According to Adams, the only weak spot in his game at this point is an inconsistent outside shot.

Robinson is a 6-foot-8 post player who was displaced from his Mississippi home last fall due to a hurricane. Before the start of his freshman season, Robinson had verbally committed to Mississippi, but has since backed out of that commitment after the Rebels coaching staff was let go at the end of last season.

"His upside is really tremendous and he is getting better every day at developing his post moves. He can also step out to 17 feet and shoot his jumper," Adams said. "He has been invited to the NBA players camp and he will be going straight from there to the Iowa camp, so I think he is really interested in them."

One other name who will not be able to attend the Iowa Elite Camp because of a high school camp conflict is a young man from Illinois named Matt Roth. Not the same Matt Roth who terrorized Big Ten quarterbacks, but he has shown the potential to cause a lot of headaches to his opponents. Adams says that Roth, who is in the 2008 class, has nearly unlimited shooting range and great potential.

"Iowa is interested in him. He can really shoot the heck out of the ball from the outside. I don't know exactly what his range is, because he just keeps moving back further from the line. He is not just a shooter. He is a really good athlete too."

Bradley is still recruiting Jeremy Robinson of Decatur Eisenhower high school. But he has also been egtting interest from a bunch of major schools.

Robinson was playing some of the best basketball of his life for his AAU team, Speice Indy Heat, recently but that all came to a screeching halt last Thursday when he dunked during a pickup game at the YMCA and landed awkwardly, tearing an ACL. He'll undergo surgery this week in Indianapolis to repair the half-torn ligament and will be sidelined at least five months.

Note that high school teammate, Lewis Jackson, is also injured.

          Very interesting!
Which school will stick with him even with the knee in jury and surgery coming up?

I hope it's BU. Not to knock XC at all, but this is the kind of player that BU needs in next year's class.....not another 7 footer.

He would be a steal for BU. Last summer this kid had many many high majors on his tail, and has only been getting better. Alford loved him at the Iowa elite camp.

I wonder if the school he was going to commit to told him to wait after his injury? Still no word. I would think Bradley would be more than happy to accept his commit even with the knee surgery.
