The Bradley coaches are hard at work on recruiting for the next couple recruiting classes. There are reports from a recruiting site that BU assistant coach Steve Merfeld was in Madison, Wisconsin recently to watch a 6'5" player named Marquis Mason of Madison East High School.
Mason is described as an extemely athletic forward who is currently ranked #5 in the state of Wisconsin for his class of 2010. He averaged 17 points and 9 rebounds a game as a freshman last season for Madison East. They play in one of the toughest conferences in the state.
Mason just received an official scholarship offer from Marquette this past week. And he is scheduled to take an unofficial visit to Wisconsin this coming weekend to watch a football game and visit with UW football coaches, who are trying to convince him to continue playing football and believe he has a future as a Division wide receiver.
