Rivals also has a nice article about a kid named Demond Watt, a fine 6'6" PF from Calumet City, IL whose high school coach is ex-Bradley basketball player Tim Bankston.
The only problem is that the kid's AAU coach is Larry Butler, who virtually rules the Chicago-area AAU circuit. .
Demond Watt's team, TF North, WON the Central Shootout but Demond was not there, as he was playing in AAU events.
A recent interview with Demond Watt says Bradley is one of several teams who have "offered". (all are mid-majors so I think BU is in the hunt except for the AAU connection...)

Jeff Teague, who plays for ex-Bradley Braves player Billy Wright at Indianapolis Pike has apparently eliminated BU from his lists.
In a recent interview he listed the following as his choices:
Wake Forest, Boston College, Indiana, Xavier and Southern Illinois.
He is a 6-1 guard from Pike High School in Indianapolis, Class of 2007.
He previously had been a recruiting target of Jim Les'.
But in a separate article, they say his recent play have him moving up and looking more like a high major prospect.
"Jeff Teague, PG, Spiece ???¬??? One college coach appropriately referred to him as ???¬?the dominant player on the court.???¬?? Exactly. There seems to come a time in each game where he feels that his squad needs a boost and he goes out and makes a play. The guy is a unique lead guard who can push tempo and score. He???¬??s had a helluva summer."

Originally posted by Da CoachMy sources tell me he will go to Indiana. He is their top point guard target and will play a lot as a freshman.
My source at Indiana also assures me that another class of 2007 prep star from Indiana, Eric Gordon, will also end up at Indiana.

I might go into a premature "wholla-whuppa-dance on your grave" and go 'Fork-Sticking' on Illini fans.
Please hold back info like this til the signing has been made.

There is an article on Scout.com that Teague will visit Wake Forest
In this article dated Aug. 14, 2006, he says SIU is still in the mix--
???¬?I would have to say Wake Forest, Indiana, Boston College, Southern Illinois and Xavier,???¬?? Teague said when asked for his top schools. "
"Teague has already been to Xavier, Indiana and Southern Illinois and he also has a tentative visit set up to visit Boston College this coming weekend. Then he???¬??ll take an official visit to Wake Forest on August 24th."
Xavier just got a committment from a top 100 player in the class of 2007, Dante Jackson. Teague wants to play point guard, so it probably won't have too much effect on Teague's decision regarding Xavier.--
