Coley's a good looking player (as is Knapp) but I don't know if I'm in a hurry to get him because a scholarship is open for DeAaron Williams for example. Time will tell, if he visits campus, then evidently somebody's leaving.
To be honest, if it came down to it, I'd take Coley over DW. If DW graduates I would not want to give away his scholarship, I don't think that's fair, but who knows about all of that but I don't wanna get off topic here, theres a whole thread about this.
There's two reasons why I would not (besides the one you mentioned where if he does qualify we have to take him):
1. Williams has already played at the D1 level, so I think there's less of a chance of a JUCO flop with him.
2. He's a Peoria kid. I like local recruiting and by having more local players BU can maybe get some of the top P-town talent coming to school.
I was starting to get fired up about next year but now I can hardly wait! If a spot opens up for Coley, then we could have something special.imo
Bradley 72 - Illini 68 Final
???It??™s awful hard,??™??™ said Illini freshman guard D.J. Richardson, the former Central High School guard who played prep school ball a few miles from here and fought back tears outside the locker room. ???It??™s a hometown thing. It??™s bragging rights.??™
what's with WK? are we looking at him or something?
We were, but we are probably not anymore with the signing of David Collins.
We still are. If anything this might put a little pressure on Coley and Knapp to verbal here, and maybe make our situation a little better in that Coley/Knapp can play their natural 4 spot with DC in the middle.
sounds like collins is a guy we can hopefully build a team around.
I think the team is already built. Hopefully DC can come in and fill the role of rebounder, defender, shot-blocker, and finisher in the paint. We have all of the other pieces already in place.

Yes I agree...this isn't POB (building around him had he stayed 4 years) this is more a piece to complement whats allready in place, as you stated.
This is a Matt Salley signing with 5 more inches in height.....
