  • 2007 BU commitment- Theron Wilson

Theron Wilson, a 6'5" slashing wing player from Seward County Community College is listed as being a Bradley recruit by Rivals.
In a new article on the Rivals network he says-
"I'm hearing from Illinois State, Bradley, Northern Colorado as well as Maryland, who has called a couple times, Louisville, who has called a couple times, Ole Miss, Washington State, Gardner Webb and Mercer," Wilson recently told CardinalSports.com's Howie Lindsey.

And what is he looking for in a future college home?

"(I'm looking for) mainly good things like the atmopsphere in city as far as basketball and what the players on the team is like," Wilson said. "I want a team that's like a family. I want to get along on and off the court, basically like a family. I've only got two years so I've got to make it worthwhile
    ."

For the season, Theron is averaging 20.9 points and 11.4 rebounds per game for the Saints, and is the team leader in steals, blocks, rebounds, free throws, minutes and points.

Scout has more on Theron Wilson, but the same question keeps coming up...that we have no present available scholarships, so we will have to wait and see what happens.

sounds like a good player, but I wouild be a lilttle dissappointed if we ended up with this kid. If we do somehow land another scholarship I would think we would be looking to get a big man that I would hope be at LEASAT 6'7 but hopefully more like 6'9

The more I discover about this guy, the more I want him. I'd him and CC is a toss up for me right now, I'd like to shy away from Gilbert. Knapp would be OK, but that would really change then dynamic of our team(not neccesarily saying for the bad).

          Some articles about Theron Wilson:

It seems as if some high majors could be dropping off him. I hope we're just getting a steal. That being said I'd be pretty excited about landing him, lets just hope he doesn't shoot a bunch of 3's(16 for 67, 24%) or Ft's (64%).

Now that Bradley has dropped off Theron Wilson, he is leaning toward Mercer. He has an offer from Illinois State, but I haven't read anywhere lately that he has interest in them.
