    DC, what are 9 dog(s)? I assume you meant 9 REB(s).

He is listed as a shooting forward on Verbal Commits but it appears to he is more of a power forward.

I posted from my cellphone, and the autocorrect function changed rpg to dog.

He sounds like the kind of inside player we lack now and could use. Northeast is 20-7 this season. They are averaging 94.7 ppg and give up only about 70 ppg. They launch over 70 shots per game and make over 50% of them. They shoot 23 three-pointers a game, and they are one of the top rebounding teams in Division I juco. They also average 22 assists per game, which is 4th in the country.

Vance Johnson leads the team in scoring- 14.2 ppg- and in rebounding- 9.0 rpg. He shoots 62% from the field, and has not made a three this season (0-4). He shoots 72% on FTs, which is nice to see.

He played prep basketball at Midwest Elite Prep Academy in Crown Point, Indiana.

Where do you see anything that says Bradley has offered Vance Johnson?
This is what Dave Reynolds' tweet says:
"Brian Wardle confirms Bradley has offered 6-5 2018 Aaron Henry from Indy.
Also BU recruiting 6-9 Vance Johnson of Northeast CC (Iowa).

Vance Johnson averaging 14.2 ppg and 9.0 rpg at Northeast. Originally from Chicago."

Certainly no mention there of a scholarship offer.
btw- Northeast Community College is not in Iowa, it's in Norfolk, Nebraska

But no doubt we are recruiting him as he's the kind of bulky juco kid that we could use to help in the post against the likes of Alize Johnson and Shaq Morris.
Vance Johnson is a 2014 grad of Calumet City, IL TF North High School - having played there for past BU Brave Tim Bankston.
He then did an extra year of prep school and played on the post-grad team at a fairly new (2013) and fairly obscure prep school, Midwest Elite just off Rt. 30 with a Crown Point address but really on the south outskirts of Merrillville, IL.
He still got little interest out of prep school so he went the juco route..

Loyola's Vlato Granic also went to Midwest Elite Prep in Indiana before going to juco

also in that same tweet, a mention that Brian Wardle confirms that a scholarship has been offered to
Indianapolis Ben Davis' Aaron Henry, who we discussed here several days ago

              Should be interesting.

I wonder who will still be with us next season?
New guys better be worth it. If your not positive . Then trust yourself to improve who you have.

I would be very surprised if we make any more "offers" until after we see if some scholarships open up in March or April..
I think already being 2-over creates a problem.. that isn't being talked about too much publicly

T I don't see being 2 over as a problem. I see what we are putting out on the floor as the problem. The only way I see to correct the problem is to recruit over the current players with better players. Only way to get better. This current group of Soph's leave a lot to be desired. Open the door.

no, it is not a problem, I agree...
but I said we likely won't offer more kids when that would generate negative publicity, speculation on who is being forced out and even more talk that we are running kids out

So what you are saying is that any offers will not become public knowledge. They may still be made.

I think our staff is wise enough to want to avoid undue critiquing from the media & fans

I hope we're also watching this guy at Hutchinson CC (Shakur Juiston)
only 6-7 but a very active low post player who hits 64% from the field, and averages 16 ppg, 11 rpg for a team that is 24-1

he is still wide open with only a Niagara offer - bigger schools (Big 12 & Big 10) have shown up and watched but so far none have offered, and his height may make him more suited to midmajor

In Northeast's game vs. Southeast CC (a DII basketball program), Vance Johnson had 10 pts, 7 rebs

also, Shakur Juiston had a big game last nite - 18 pts, 15 rebs, 6 asst, 3 blk

Nate Hansen, a 6-4 soph at Vincennes continues to hit nearly 42% from the arc
