actually - with the Texas assistant watching, Kavell actually had the worst game of his career...
he battled constant foul trouble and did not play much, ending with just four points... Maybe the Texas assistant will just pass on him & leave him for the mid-majors...

Kavell Bigby-Williams and Gillete College finished the season at 29-1, and are #1 seeded in their Regional Tournament thus getting a bye into March..

Kavell Bigby-Williams is currently a juco sophomore so he'd certainly play right away next fall as a junior and have 2 years left

most uncommitted juco kids - especially those in the National Tournament - will wait til after they finish up hoping to impress a few more recruiters and get more offers...

but once the National Tournament is done - in about THREE WEEKS, then kids will decide & verbal....to lock in on their scholarship..

BUT REMEMBER that Tramique Sutherland was also MVP of his Regional Tournament - like Freddie - and even almost helped carry his team to the National Championship - and he didn't exactly turn out to be a dominating DI player

Final year end stats for Bigby-Williams
KBW finishes the season with 16.8 ppg, 13.6 rpg, 5.9 blocks and 60% FG accuracy - in a guard-oriented offense!
Hope he's looking forward to the kind of excitement Wichita, Northern Iowa, and Bradley have been known for - Sweet Sixteens, Final Fours, etc.. in the Missouri Valley Conference!

                          There's still some hope....

today's bit on Kavell Bigby-Williams still lists Bradley among his suitors...
"Kavell Bigby-Williams was already one of the most sought after recruits in
junior college basketball. After his performance at last week??™s NJCAA National
Tournament ....his stock has gone through the roof.

....Oregon could be the early favorite. However, others who are heavily
involved include Texas, Utah, San Diego State, Missouri, Arizona State,
                          Charlotte and Bradley."

one bit of news that might affect Kavell Bigby-Williams' choice...
It has been said that Oregon is one of KBW's top options but....
one of Oregon's best players, POWER FORWARD Chris Boucher - who averages 12.1 ppg, 7.4 rpg, and who plays the same position and style as Kavell - was just granted a waiver to return for a 6th year - there was talk he would leave for the NBA draft and would leave a huge opening for Kavell to grab playing time.
They could, of course, play both of them, but Oregon also returns two other big forwards - Jordan Bell (7 pts/5 reb) & Dillon Brooks (17 pts/6 reb).

Good for him - he's a great player...

Bradley was one of the first to offer him, which shows how Brian Wardle knew this guy had talent and knew it before almost everyone else...
