I'm reserving judgement on he or any other European recruits from here moving forward. Yes, some Euro kids have panned out big here in the US, but Euro kids as good as they look on their highlight tapes, still tend to be very soft kids, and the speed of the American game is so much faster. These 2 factors make it very hard to adapt to. Playing in the US is a huge adjustment and just as many of the Euro kids or more don't make it. The media only shows stories on the kids that do. I hope he is one that can make it here.

You are right. There have been many European recruits in the Valley, but few ever live up to their expectations. For every Edigius Mockevicius, there are several Stefan Zecevics. In fact, I don't recall the last Euro recruit besides Mockevicius to really excel in the Valley. Let's hope our guys break out of that mold.

The only foreign players that have shown up in the last decade near the top in the major stat categories in the MVC have been...
Dinma Odiakosa, Jacob Enevold, Greg Echenique, Mamdou Seck, & Champ Oguchi....but as time goes on I think we will see more and it's also happening elsewhere

You have to get skilled tough kids from winning, tough high school programs in order to win at a place like ours, in a conference like ours.

Overseas Recruiting
Hopefully our coaches are looking at these foreign players with speed/toughness in mind, and, getting a chance to work them out
vs talented players living overseas in the many pro leagues before offering.
Since BU and other mid majors have to rely on more longshots than the
big 5 and other top mid majors for talent, they (and we) will need to accept the fact that these longshots should be red-shirted for a year, and, let go if they can not compete at the MVC level after they have been here a year or so. No more guaranteed 4-5 years on the Hilltop for schollies. That is a quaint/remnant of the past, along with players staying in college for more than 1 yr before turning pro.
The landscape in college hoops has changed, if BU wants to compete, it has to be more mercenary with its players/recruits. HS/JC players today have to understand and accept this concept as a trade off for all the benefits of playing bb in college and pros. Risks have been upped for players too.

2016 Bradley commit Jayden Hodgson, from Australia, has transferred and is now playing at Arlington Country Day Prep School in Jacksonville, Florida.
This should give Jayden some much better experience for his senior year.
Jayden is mentioned in this latest blog article about the ACD team and Koch Bar-
