Walker has transferred to Sunrise Christian Academy, the prep school in WSU's back yard.

Sunrise kids have gone to other schools but Wichita State does get their share..

It took awhile before WSU landed a Sunrise player they didn't place there.

WSU has the following players, commits from Sunrise:

Zach Brown
Rauno Nurger
Eric Hamilton
CJ Keyser

Brown and Hamilton committed to WSU before they chose to play a year of post-prep ball. In Hamilton's case, he came to WSU in the summer of '14, but subsequently decided he needed another year. I believe Keyser is largely the result of WSU bringing in former Sunrise coach Kyle Lindstead as an assistant. That, and he's spending this year at Brewster Academy. Although he did attend a lot of WSU games last year, which was probably a factor.

So Nurger is the only traditionally recruited player WSU has nabbed from Sunrise.

We've tried and missed on several, like Gabe Oleseni (Iowa), Buddy Hield (Oklahoma) and Lourawls Nairn (Michigan State).
