saw he had a offer for Tennessee -- was that before Tyndall was fired or did Barnes make the offer ?

I doubt we'll know an answer to that for sure. Offers come in many ways. From what I have seen on the videos, and I am sure most posters here saw the same thing, he does not look like he is currently at the caliber of a major school like Tennessee. So I suspect the offer was something other than an immediate full scholarship offer.

Coaches sometimes offer a kid a scholarship contingent on attending a prep school first, or redshirting the first year as a walkon, then earning the scholarship the next year. And sometimes offers are contingent on whether another player leaves early or another recruit fails to qualify. We'll probably never know what the real circumstances are with Cooper.

It wouldn't completely surprise me if he red-shirts.

with 8 or 9 newcomers - especially since most are freshmen - there will be talk of redshirting - obviously Alex Foster will sit out...
but any redshirt decisions won't likely take place 'til the kids are all here and working out

I keep coming across reports that Davante Cooper is 6-11

Here he is standing next to teammate Marcus Berkley who is widely listed as 6-4, and he looks a good 7 inches taller.

Orangewood Academy is a K-12 school that has a high school enrollment of 95 students. Its diminutive campus is blanketed by the shadow of Santiago High and bordered by Clinton Elementary and Doig I…

and the pics we have already been seeing from campus look like at least 6-10 maybe 6-11
