    Looks like Swopshire is in.

Wonder what that means for Delaney?

They're still on him. Geno wants as many 6' 4" to 6' 7" wing players as he can get. Tucker, Swopshire, and Delaney would help Bradley compete with the type of depth WSU rolls with.

Can't argue with that... glad to hear some good news this weekend!

most of the players we have landed have been kids under the radar -- kids who don't have all the Big Ten following them...I like that Geno use his connections to get in on Swopshire...
BTW - let's see if Nate Taphorn becomes available...another 6-7 wing player...

ESPN raves about Swopshire's shooting ability, saying "this long and lean shooter has deep range and great offensive confidence when it comes to shooting the ball. He can break a game wide open when he gets hot. Great upside."

Rivals lists his interested schools as Arizona, Texas, Florida, Marquette, Illinois, Iowa, and Missouri.

And Telep just tweeted that Swopshire is the best uncommitted SF in the nation, behind only #1 overall recruit Andrew Wiggins.

                Bingo.

he is, as you know, a player similar to his own brother Jared Swopshire - who played 3 seasons at Louisville & one at Northwestern...
but Jared was considerably more successful in high school and far more highly recruited..
Jared didn't pan out as highly successful in college - tho, however I think had he gone mid-major - he'd have been a lot more successful.
His career scoring average was 5 ppg, and he grabbed an avg of 4 rpg...with his final year playing for Northwestern 9.7 ppg & 6.7 rpg.

I know its just ESPN but they have their own Top Small Forwards list for 2013 and Swopshire comes in at #38. Right in front of a couple former Bradley recruits #39 is Nate Taphorn and #41 is Kendall Pollard.

                    Welcome to BU Jordan!!

If you cant go to school go to STATE!!

I think Blake will be in the fold once his JUCO season ends.

here's a question - let's say we close out our FOUR-MAN recruiting class by landing DeShawn Delaney....
that would mean we'd be bringing in a four man class that consists of FOUR 6-6 wing players.... not one of which has a solid reputation as a lights-out 3-pt shooter...

so - since almost everyone agrees that our three biggest needs were PG, low post player who is ready to play ASAP, and some 3-pt shooting prowess - then our four-man class misses on all three. Does anyone else think that just maybe we are going to still get more??

I could possibly see 2 more opening up once season is over

I think that the staff would be happy to bring in a JUCO PF and a freshman big too. Obviously, to get all three players, two current scholarship players would have to be released. I don't think this is too unrealistic. As far as PG goes, I'm fine with rolling into next year with Fields, Bell, and Walt.

At PG, we have Fields and Bell, with Walt who can step in as well. Pretty set there.

I think our shooting issues will be solved by every players shooting better, not just one 3 point specialist. Geno loves his big wing players with size. We are going to be a matchup nightmare for smaller teams to defend.

Seems like at least one players leaves every year. Would be surprised if another ride doesn't open up.
