  • I can understand where BBF is coming from but maybe thsi wasn't the time to take it so deep and personal by some on the board. I am very excited to have JP cioming to BU but one never knows how hard he is going to be willing to work to make himself better. From everything I have heard of this young man I really do not believe this will be the case here but one never knows. As I have said before look at JC and the difference in how he did each of his first 3 years at BU. Agood first year but then didn't think he had to work too hard for his soph season and rode the bench. This made him realize what it woudl take to be the player everyone thought he could be and it turned out great for him his junior and senior season.
I hope JP has watched and learned from JC and even JJ as to what it takes to be great rather then just good. This is college and all of the players were stars on their teams.

In fact, I am surprised you weren't asked to be the new Bradley Director of Basketball Operations in an effort to land Prosser...
            All he knows....NOT!....

I saw him a while back and had my BU shirt on......maybe it helped .....I have another star coming up through the ranks.....maybe I can get a job offer on the next one

            • Just to pick one name from bbf's list of guys BU just missed on.....

Here are Fay's numbers from last season:

              10.9 min/game

              2.4 points/game

              1.8 rebounds/game

              62% ft shooting

              9 assists, 20 turnovers, 4 blocks

I most certainly hope JP's numbers are better than this if he's getting 11 minutes/game!
???People say, ???Forget last year', but I want our guys to remember that one, because that will not happen again. We will be much better.??? Geno Ford, 9/22/12

I know JL wanted Fay pretty bad, but I doubt he was as highly rated a recruit as Prosser. I don't remember him having so many flirtations with the likes of Indiana & ND, etc.

Prosser is definitely a higher profile recruit than Fay was. He's a great get for Les and BU.
Now let's get a couple shooters and a Theron Wilson type of player and we will be in pretty good shape for the next 4 or 5 years...

                  • With this signing are we still going after Wilkens and would he play the 5. We are a bit loaded in a good way at the 4! I would expect TB capable of playing the 3, ala Scottie Pippen, WE could spend some time out there if he starts hitting his 3s and ballhandling skills. I also expect SH to play the 4 coming off the bench more likely and adding energy. Coach K said he has a tremendous engine and I just wish we had him this year! There is some real size! Gotta love it!

                    • Congrats to the Braves Coaching Staff

From Sycamore Land: A recruit of this apparent level is good for all the Valley. Keep them coming & we will try to do our part as the Sycamores attempt to make a run for the (Valley) roses in the next year or two. We made small steps last season and expect to make more this season.

Of course all teams get players they "think may do better in the college game". I don't know a coach out there who wants to get bad players.

I didn't realize fans all had to fit in the exact same mold or that some fans opinions matter more than others.

Ooooh A sore point with some here bbfan
???We all want Bradley to win. If our methods and visions for that are different, then so be it. Don't ever attempt to tell me I am not a fan!???

Great post and thanks for coming to the site...I always respect the fan of a conference opponent who realizes that Bradley or any Valley school who gets a commitment from a high level recruit is good for the Valley's recruiting as a whole. With McKenna at the helm, things are moving in the right direction at Indiana St.
