          • Definitely have high hopes for him. I also frequent a Wake message board, and they are sad to see him go.

Wake's fans have mostly turned on their head coach, and have seen several players leave (so it looks like the players are clashing with him as well).

            • we have posters bashing players and i can't make a remark on the opinion that we should have good students over good basketball players?!!!!

I may have missed the sarcasm here, but I think he was referring to the fact that we don't want any broken ankles... hence the smiley face, not the quality of players? Maybe I missed something...

I missed the sarcasm too. My original comment was indeed implying that we can't afford any injuries, as this has been a tendency the past few seasons. We don't want any ankle-breakers in practice.

Now, of course, I want AF to go all out in practice this next season. I think last season when the practices/scrimmages became more competitive, the team started playing a little better.

Which will lead me into a new thread......coming soon.

                    • Anthony Fields seems to be looking forward to coming to Bradley- he already calls himself "Current Bradley PG".
And check out the Bradley wallpaper on his Twitter page-

                      • Nice wallpaper. I hope he can help lead the team back to the Sweet 16 and beyond.

                        • Wake Forest head coach Jeff Bzdelik just did an interview and spoke to Anthony Fields transferring to Bradley...

Question: How do you address the three players who are transferring?

Bzdelik: Very simply: We wish them well. And as Gene Hackman said in the
movie "Hoosiers," this is our team. We now have players who truly want to be
here, who bleed black and gold, and that is a great thing.

funny thing tho is that he doesn't have many such players - as he is having to bring in a ton of new players - some of whom are pretty obscure....

                          • I think AF will be happy here. I am thrilled to have him in the program. I do find it unusual that a few times he has referred to his going to Chicago and Bradley. I am not sure if this is just so people get an idea where it is in general. Or if he is in for a shock.

                            • Things are really crumbling around Bzdelik at Wake. He has burned many bridges that cannot be mended. He has lost the fan support and has alienated and lost the respect of his players. This is apparent from the players that have left his program and are now spreading word of their discontent and mistreatment to their "handlers" and AAU connections... Bzdelik is essentially dead in the water and a lame duck. He will probably be fired, as will AD Wellman, at this next season's end.
