Just for reference - here is a pretty thorough list of Euro kids who have signed with colleges the past few years - the list even includes Michael Ochereobia...
..a few of the names are recognizable...the Canarias Basketball Academy where Michael Ochereobia came from has now sent over 30 kids to DI and DII colleges, but Ochereobia is the only name most fans would recognize...
btw - I note that this thread about Bradley's newest commit has well over 3000 views and dozens of responses just in a couple days......
- plus there's actually another thread going over on the Recruiting board that increases those numbers...
This is clearly a topic of intense interest and the activity dwarfs anything just about anywhere on any non-BCS team's message board...
Kudos to BU's great fans

I was trying to see what SZ was up to so far this year and came across this article that Lee Academy is in some hot water for "recruiting". No mention of SZ though.
but I read some message boards about this issue...and here's where it differs from what we see in most PRIVATE schools in regards to their recruiting....
-first many private schools that recruit players to fill their basketball roster - schools like Brewster, Oak Hill, La Lumiere, Brehm Prep....
they know they don't follow the same rules as the other local schools, so they don't even try to play within the state association against the other schools...
-but Lee is a member of the Maine state association (their equivalent of IHSA) but they aren't a TRUE private school in one sense...
like many smaller "private" schools in the northeast - if they serve an area that doesn't have a lot of public schools, then the STATE actually pays Lee to take some of the kids who are public school students but who have nowhere else to go without traveling long distances.
The kids don't HAVE TO go to LEE but are given that option with the state picking up the tab.
-but they also have dorms and board certain kids, like Zecevic, and if they give those kids discounted charges for their boarding & meals just because they are athletes, then it is still against the rules.
"Private and some public schools are expected to recruit students,
but they are not expected to provide inducements for athletes to attend their schools.”
...Lee has contracts with local school boards to educate students from Lee, Springfield, Webster and Winn.
The school also serves students from Greenbush, Kingman, Topsfield, Vanceboro and the Passamaquoddy Tribe of Maine. Tuition, room and board is approximately $26,000 a year for seven-day boarding students."
