50-50 - hope Chin gets on him...but most of these kids have been tutored since childhood to aim at the BCS-level - so sadly he will probably make the same mistake again -

BTW - how about this - Northwestern's Drew Crawford maybe leaving...but he played too many games for the usual redshirt - may need a waiver from NCAA
Many have noted that Chris Collins will need to turn quickly to Drew Crawford, to prevent the fifth-year senior from using his final year of eligibility at another school. Should NU worry about his departure?

We may not get him, but I think Shaw has seen he's fairly deep on the roster of a tournament BCS team. I'd love Crawford, but he'll have his pick of pretty much any school in the country if he gets a waiver.

Scott Powers of ESPN Chicago just tweeted he hears Bradley as possible destination, but nothing certain.

A combination of Shaw/Hamilton would make me feel good about the post presence for the future!

Here's yet another transfer - let's see who wants him...

highly touted out of high school - but little recruited - for a reason...
he is NIU's top scorer - and has been in his coach's doghouse, and he takes tons of shots but has a low shooting percentage
Abdel Nader leaving NIU - he was once a Bradley recruit -

NIU's 2nd leading scorer - who was a BU recruit a year ago - Akeem Springs has also left - there's talk he will go to Mississippi Valley State Univ. where he had originally verballed way back in his junior year in HS

Wonder how long before the Braves release what player or players will not be back next season? We need Shaw (would have to sit a season)and some additional paint help for next season IMO!

If we don't pull Shaw, I'd be interested in Djimde. Good size (6'8???/245), if skilled enough he could dominate the paint in the Valley.

I wouldn't worry. He would be an upgrade over anyone we now have, or anyone we have a chance at landing. I agree that he may not be as good as his hype out of high school, and he may not be as good as Carl Hall, but he would be as effective as any big man the Valley will have the next couple years (now that Hall, Carmichael, McDermott, and Echenique are gone).

In fact- the top returning rebounder in the MVC next year will be Seth Tuttle (6.5 rpg), and the 2nd leading rebounder returning next year is Tyshon Pickett (5.5 rpg)! There just won't be many good returning big men in the league next year, and not many new bigs coming in.
