Either he commits by Monday or our chances become slim to none. My guess is he commits.

We keep being told that the recruits that Geno has gotten will be difference makers or key contributors. So far Pickett has been it. The jury is still out with this years recruits but we've been told that this is one of the better recruiting classes of recent times so we'll see. By all accounts Cunningham would be one of those difference makers so let's get that commitment Geno. Finish in the top 6 and we'll be moving in the right direction. Finish this season playing in the Thursday game in St. Louis and I'd question if we'd need a new direction.

          that article is very interesting...

-they say if Cunningham waits until spring some schools
"that were previously eliminated could jump in"

that's odd... do they mean that schools who blew him off will come crawling back - or schools that Josh closed the door on he'd reopen consideration?
Either way - it speaks of one side or the other getting desperate and going back to previously discarded options - so what's up with that?

and don't count out a surprise at any juncture...Chicago kids seem to always get plenty of "guidance" from their gurus and handlers...

The history of college Chicago basketball is littered with names of highly talented kids who flopped big time where they were "guided" (Darius Smith, Leon Smith), and who even if they did have some success, had disastrous careers in one way or another because of those handlers' influence (Antoine Walker, Eddie Curry, Jereme Richmond)...then you can't help but see the talent wasted because of the bad choices.

When you consider all the tremendous talent coming out of Chicago - and yet how RARE it actually is that a true success at the college level and beyond only seems to come along once or twice in a decade like DRose & Dwyane Wade...then it actually makes you wonder what happened to all those other talented kids

One of the schools that was previously eliminated, and that does not seem likely to jump back in is Oklahoma. The just got a commitment from a 2014 kid who is very similar to Josh Cunningham-

Clarification of the plans for Josh Cunningham's visit- he will arrive tomorrow (Friday) on campus, and spend the day on his official visit, including the game Friday night. He'll likely stay until Saturday.

Any word on how the visit went?

All of the "experts" at 247 are predicting a BU commit:

There is surprisingly little talk -- usually a few tweets or comments appear saying how things are going...but not this time..

Cunningham's own twitter has been silent, as has his Mac Irvin coach's

I would love to hear word of a commit before he leaves, tho something seems to hint here that he is still weighing options and may not even decide until spring

Both the IL PrepBullseye article and this column by Dave Reynolds from last night seem to hint at the spring possibility

According to Reynolds JC will stay for today's Alabama State game before heading home.....team mate Jr, guard 6'4 Kain Harris is with him for an unofficial visit!

No commitment from Josh while on his visit. He may still make a decision before the end of the early signing period (Wed. Nov. 13-Wed. Nov.20).

According to chicagohoops, Cunningham has decided "for now" to sign in the Spring. Not good news if this is true.

Yes, despite hopes that he'd change his mind, this is what he told people at Bradley.

I wonder......does the staff wait till spring with the last ride? Is there a back-up player in mind as I think JC is a back-up with Iowa State wanting a certain guard before him and asking him not to sign this fall! If JC chooses elsewhere I hope a shooter is in the mix!

Not good news if it's true. Means he's waiting to play this season to see if he'll blow up more nationally. Probably need to move on.
