Illinois Prep Bullseye is reporting the Bradley is recruiting 6'6" Brandon Johnson of Thornton Fractional South HS in Lansing, Illinois (south suburban Chicago). He is scheduled for a visit to the BU campus on October 4.

Brandon Johnson of T.F. South High School in Lansing, Illinois has committed to Western Michigan. He was a BU recruit under Geno Ford, and Illinois State coach Dan Muller reportedly wanted him, but in the end he reportedly chose Western Michigan over UIC and SIUE.

I wonder how bad BU wanted him. I don't doubt that we wanted him and he preferred to go elsewhere. We are having problems in filling that last scholarship.

Actually, it was Geno who initially recruited him. I am not sure Coach Wardle was ever really very high on him. But Wardle prefers to sign another guard with the last scholarship, so I do not think Bradley was still recruiting him.
From people who have seen Johnson play, he is a bit of a project, and is undersized for a kid who plays the center position.
