I think he could be a steal - just hopefully recovers well from the surgery

Agree, just not sure if Coach Wardle is recruiting him tho. He was one of Geno"s recruits. I know he visited ISU on the 4/21. Northern Iowa is recruiting him also , so that tells you something right there. i hope we are recruiting him, I love the recruits we have coming in, now we need some bigs. He put up some monster numbers before his injury. Another ACL injury sidelined Jack Lieb from Deerfield last year. He is back on the court now and playing for the Illinois Wolves. He is a 6'9" 250lb center with very little D1 interest so far. SIUE offered yesterday. I believe both of these kids have LOTS of upside and yet are under the radar because of their injuries. Go after them Coach Wardle, you cant teach height.

Is Shaw the only center/Power Forward that we have? I know Thomas is supposed to be 6'6" but I do know consider him a center. With Shaw on the bench, it would seem we play with Thomas and four guards.

Have some patience LTF . I don't think we are finished recruiting. yet.

I doubt it if we are done. However, it seems that we keep hearing names in the 6'5" wing forwards. Granted we probably could use another one, besides Suggs, unless some of our guards can fill in there.

That makes some sense from both sides...

New Iowa State head coach Steve Prohm finds himself this late in the process with multiple open scholarships for 2015, and they missed out on Bielfeldt - so Prohm probably felt some pressure to land someone - especially someone with size since they don't have hardly anyone in their frontcourt with experience except Niang.

From Brady's standpoint it's as good as he was likely to ever get and he wants the chance to try to show everyone he can play at that level.

I think in a couple years he's gonna get recruited over and find it hard to get PT

I guess that time is already come-
Brady Ernst is leaving Iowa State and transferring...

he saw it coming when Iowa State started signing all the available transfers...although a lot of other people saw it coming before he even signed with Iowa State.

To be fair, Ernst tore his ACL at the end of his senior season of high school (in Feb., 2015), and then tried to come back and play the following season at the high D1 level at Iowa State. He was not ready, and should not have been allowed to try to compete less than 9 months after such a severe ACL injury and surgery. He should have been redshirted from the start of last season by the Iowa State staff. He played briefly in 6 early season games last November, developed swelling and pain in his surgically repaired knee, then was shut down for the rest of the year. He would have been able to get a medical redshirt, but now if he transfers, he'll lose that year.

Brady Ernst needs to get better advice than whoever advised him to make such poor decisions.
Now unless he heads to juco or DII, he has wasted a couple years of his college career.
