article on BU recruit Brady Ernst -
DAVENPORT — At 6-feet-9 and 6-6, respectively, Clinton center Brady Ernst and forward Cole Pennock have the potential to pose a lot of height problems for the rest of the
he has the 3rd leading rebounding average in the state

he had a 24 point/22 rebound game this year
From what I have seen - Ernst may be the only big man we are still pursuing or have offered I guess we're targeting mostly guards
..hope we are looking at a few guys who can shoot over 40%

don't know,
but here's site that may be of some interest to fans...
and I wish we had something like this in Illinois...
but this site keeps track of every stat on every high school team and individual in Iowa...
Pretty amazing - the stats can be sorted any which way
Here's a ranking of the highest ranking boys teams
but you can sort and see the highest scoring teams by clicking on Pts./G (points per game) etc...
BUT - the most useful stats are the individual stats - you can see who the best scorers & best shooters are
if interested - the same site also keeps track of the high school kids' baseball, football, volleyball, softball, and other stats...
Like I said - sure wish we had something like this for Illinois HS kids
one more thing - there are literally hundreds of kids who hit 3-point shots at 50% or better...
I'm not implying they are all DI candidates, but it is pretty impressive how many kids DO have the ability to shoot 50, 55, even 60% or better from the arc..
surely some of them are DI talents - UNI and Grinnell sure find them - so we ought to be able to find a couple!!!

Bradly Ernst update...
Tuesday night Bradly Ernst had 24 points & 17 rebounds....
BUT...he was not the star of the game! His teammate, shooting guard Derrick Howard, was on fire and scored 35 points!

I'm not sure whether Ford is considering him or not. Heck, I'm not even sure even who will be coach next year. How long does it take a post player to recover from an injury like this?
I wonder how many teams have backed off recruiting him?
I doubt if Bradley could afford to have a freshman sit out a redshirt injury year.

He may go the juco route or prep just so his college "clock" does not start ticking, but he still could be a bargain for a DI school with scholarships who want to take a chance...

Redbird Recon reports that Brady Ernst visited the ISU campus recently.
Bradley coach Geno Ford offered him a scholarship last summer, but he tore his ACL this past February and is still recovering.
