Bradley just offered Dikembe Dixson...
Simultaneously Bradley also offered Dikembe's cousin Montrell Dixson - a 2016 6-6 wing - Montrell lives with his cousin's family...
F/U on former BU recruit Dikembe Dixson, now at UIC...
Remember - Dixson, along with cousin (Montrell Dixson) played HS ball 2 yrs ago in KY on the same team as AJ Youngman.
Anyway - there's a mix of good & bad with Dixson.
He's clearly the team's top scorer even tho just a freshman. UIC's 2-10 & playing poorly - they just got trounced 75-47 by Valpo and have not beaten a DI opponent, despite 6 of their top 8 players are returning veteran players.
Dixson is avg 13.7 ppg & 6.6 rpg...but those numbers are not as effective as they might seem since they are largely a result of lots of minutes played & lots of shots taken.
He plays very heavy minutes, 32.2 minutes per game - way more than anyone else.
He also take way, way more shots than anyone else - DOUBLE the number of shot attempts that the next closest player takes.
And he only shoots 34% overall/ 32% from the arc on 3.4 attempts per game.
He also has 45 turnovers in just 12 games, almost as many as all the other starters combined!
not sure if Bradley is still interested in or tracking MONTRELL DIXSON, the cousin of UIC's Dikembe Dixson (who btw is doing remarkably well) but....it would be hard to keep up with Montrell...
he started in Kentucky playing on the same high school team as AJ Youngman then moved several times to Freeport, IL, then West Virginia, and is now being reported to have moved twice more just since the fall and is now enrolled at a school in Illinois again but apparently not eligible and not playing.
Sounds like he will have a lot of difficulty getting cleared to play academically.
