That's great news. Now we need to push him hard. Would love to see him in a BU uni. Gonna be hard if ISU offers. His asst.coach , the coaches son played at ISU.

It sounds like if he gets a Big 10 offer we are done.

I didn't get take from his conversation. I know he is very interested in BU and could very well see him in a BU uniform.

In the video he talks about wanting to play at the highest level possible. In another video on here he talks about always wanting to play in the Big 10. I hope I am wrong.

Small Fish in a big pond vs Big Fish in a smaller pond?

Hopefully kids and their families look closely at this question, and, understand that if a kid has talent, he can get to the next level post college from anywhere. McDermott, Korver and Early show that.

Also, even in a big university, you really end up with a small group of fellow students you get to know and hang out with.

You can find the same number of fellow students at a smaller institution.

Block is also playing in a fall league up in Chicago
...hopefully we can get some reports how he does against opponents who largely are going be playing ball in college

If Gavin is visiting this eekend as scheduled, welcome to Bradley University.
Gavin can be for us what Ron Baker is to Wichita - smart kid, good shooter, can play & defend in both frontcourt and backcourt..
I know we need a PG too, so stay in with Marlon Stewart (who is visiting Creighton this weekend) but Block is too good to pass on

Now there's something we agree 100% on. Hope we get him to commit this weekend. Reminds me of Ron Baker also.

also - just as a reminder ..as I know our fans probably already know all of this...

Gavin Block led his team "downstate" to Carver Arena last spring as Lincoln HS
                                finished 2nd in STATE...

Here are Gavin's full season stats - 15.8 ppg, 6 rpg and 42% from 3-pt range

(have to click on Team #2 in 3A)

but under pressure in the two really big games at Carver - he was 5-10 from the arc - so I think he can also be a Jeremy Crouch-type player for us

                                Games #1 & 4 in 2013-14 (3A)
