Small Fish in a big pond vs Big Fish in a smaller pond?
Hopefully kids and their families look closely at this question, and, understand that if a kid has talent, he can get to the next level post college from anywhere. McDermott, Korver and Early show that.
Also, even in a big university, you really end up with a small group of fellow students you get to know and hang out with.
You can find the same number of fellow students at a smaller institution.BUilding for the Future

Gavin can be for us what Ron Baker is to Wichita - smart kid, good shooter, can play & defend in both frontcourt and backcourt..
I know we need a PG too, so stay in with Marlon Stewart (who is visiting Creighton this weekend) but Block is too good to pass on

also - just as a reminder ..as I know our fans probably already know all of this...
Gavin Block led his team "downstate" to Carver Arena last spring as Lincoln HS
finished 2nd in STATE...
Here are Gavin's full season stats - 15.8 ppg, 6 rpg and 42% from 3-pt range
(have to click on Team #2 in 3A)
but under pressure in the two really big games at Carver - he was 5-10 from the arc - so I think he can also be a Jeremy Crouch-type player for us
Games #1 & 4 in 2013-14 (3A)
