  • BU recruit- juco- Dequon Miller

Bradley is reportedly recruiting a junior college point guard Dequon Miller. He is a freshman at Motlow State Community College in Lynchburg, Tennessee, but he is a qualifier who could transfer this year and have 3 years of eligibility if he chooses.
He is a 5'10", 170 pound point guard that Bradley has been following, but has not offered yet. He has offers from Ole Miss, Kennesaw State, North Texas and Texas Pan-Am. Recently he has been contacted by Texas A&M, and Arkansas.
He is originally from Charleston, West Virginia.
He averages 20.7 points per game, and 7.2 assists per game for Motlow, which is 13-13. He is shooting 44.1% from three.

Wow! I just watched the highlight video and I could definitely get used to seeing this kid in the backcourt! He is super quick and can not down the three with regularity even with his height disadvantage. But what I liked most were the sick no look passes!

Looks like a good potential recruit.

From his description and videos, he seems similar to Tramique Sutherland. maybe a backup or a fallback in case something unexpected happens.

He would be a nice back-up for next year. As of right now I don't see anyone who can be the primary ball handler next year excluding TS so I would happy to see this kid in a BU uniform. Also, any shooting help would be welcomed as well.

Dequon Miller averages making 3.0 three point shots per game (out of 6.8 attempts). For comparison, the top 3-point shooter in the MVC is Matt Bohannon of UNI with 2.6 made 3-pointers per game, and Bradley's top is Omari Grier with 1.7 made 3-pointers per game. So unlike Tramique Sutherland who rarely shoots three, (he only makes 0.5 3-pointers per game), this kid does take a lot of 3-pointers, and makes a lot (44.1%)

With his shooting ability you could play him with Sutherland at times. Adding quickness to your defense along with creating open looks for good looks for guys like Shaw in the lane. Also a guy like Taylor will benefit from more drop off passes in the lane then entering the ball to him and forcing him to create a shot until he develops more.

I completely agree with you. But that means moving/passing the ball around. I am not sure Geno's offensive scheme allows that

Dequon Miller had previously gotten offers from Ole Miss, Kennesaw State, North Texas and Texas Pan-Am. Today he got offers from Tennessee State and Western Kentucky.

Dequon Miller, who is now officially a 2015 juco recruit, now has more BCS interest. He just received a scholarship offer from Tennessee.

Dequon Miller, who was a Bradley recruit for point guard at one time, has committed to Missouri State.
