He is originally from Queens, New York, and played last season at University of Maryland Eastern Shore where he was a starter as a freshman and was their second leading scorer with 13.3 ppg and second leading rebounder with 6.7 rpg. 2013-14 will be his first season at Odessa, which is where Bradley player Auston Barnes played last year.
