BU recruit 2013- Jordan Swopshire

Dave Reynolds reports that Bradley has offered Jordan Swopshire- a 6'6" small forward who plays at Fort Zumwalt High South School in St. Peters, Missouri. He attended the Bradley-Creighton game on Wednesday (2/27/13).
He played earlier this season at Montrose Christian Prep School in Rockville, Maryland, and played his junior year at Sportsquest Academy in Midlothian, VA.
He is from O'Fallon, Missouri. His older brother, Jared Swopshire played 4 years at Louisville, and is now at Northwestern as a 5th year grad student. And he also has twin sisters who are both playing D1 basketball at Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

ESPN reports that he has offers from George Washington, Kent State, UC Irvine, and Virginia Commonwealth.

here's an hour long video of Jordan Swopshire as he played for his Montrose Christian team in December vs. Findlay..

Jordan nails the first basket of the game - you have to watch (or fast forward to about 1:25) but the basket is negated by a foul under the basket.
On the ensuing inbounds play he breaks off a screeen, gets open in about the exact same spot and nails the shot again to give Montrose a 2-0 lead over Findlay.
If you don't wish to watch - here is my assessment...
He isn't much of a ball handler - and doesn't have a great long range shot - but he is very athletic and has a good mid-range shot...
He does remind me a lot of Taylor Brown or the closest guys currently in the Valley might be Indiana State's Manny Arop or SIU's Desmar Jackson.

If you scroll forward to 5:15 in that video - Jordan gets a rebound then gets the ball back to his point guard, and on the ensuing play one of Jordan's teammates attempts a high flying lob-dunk - which is VERY impressive, except the ball slips a bit and he fails to make the dunk!
The only other shot Jordan Swopshire attempts the rest of the 1st quarter is at about the 8:10 mark - he fires a THREE POINTER that misses.

BTW _ when Jordan Swopshire was a sophomore - one article that says he "exploding onto the scene" listed Kent State as a school that was following him...
Hmmm...who was the head coach at Kent State in 2010-2011.........I just can't remember.........
One hoopscooponline mention from June of 2010 also notes Kent State after him...and Kent State became his very first offer after his sophomore year.
