AJ left Morton because his father was always meddling and causing issues with the coaches and AJ! They did not run him off and the players and other kids in Morton really liked AJ as person. Unfortunately his father is another issue all together and your son will always make decisions based on what a father says especially one who has been a coach all his life. The family has moved quite a bit here in the last few years and the father has yet to land a coaching job thru his son!! Hint Hint

Why would coach Browm comment on a situation with a parent and a player that went bad? AJ"s dad was one of the most disliked coaches in the area several years ago when he was at Aledo with his older son and couldn't beat Farmington. I will give him credit tho his teams always had winning records where ever he coached his personality is an issue..

I've talked with some of the local high school coaches and they agree that the local talent is going to be pretty good, high Division 1 good. Which normally means they won't be in a BU uniform unless they dreamed of playing on the hilltop.

For the record, Coach Wardle knows he will have no juniors on next year's team. That means there are currently NO scholarships scheduled to be available for the 2017 recruiting class.
Da'Monte Williams, A.J. Youngman, and Romon Douglan-Watkins are all 2017 kids. Things could change and more scholarships become available, but for now, Wardle needs to be extremely selective in handing out scholarship offers for 2017. He did offer Williams, and he likes Youngman, and I believe he will eventually offer him.
But the lack of an offer to him now has more to do with numbers than anything else.

Sorry for the in correct info about the son and the town. Here is a quote from his info page: Youngman's greatest success came at Abingdon, a Class A school in Knox County south of Galesburg, where he coached from 1996 to 2001.His best season came 1998-99 when the Commandos earned a state ranking, won a regional title and finished 27-5. As I have stated he just using his son's talent to try and land a coaching job.. No I will not quit posting
