Arens kid is solid but not dominate in any game I have seen him play. I watch his summer team play probably 8-10 times this spring and summer. Has a nice body, solid hands, good IQ, but never really showed much vertically or to his off hand, which is his right hand.
Michael Finke (Centennial), Alex Sorenson (Dunlap) are both just as good if not better in my mind than the Arens kid is. Those are 2 bigs just in Central Illinois.
I know Tyler and coached him in junior high before he moved. I know he is visiting another Valley school this weekend, but did not know if BU is even interested.
Thanks
When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.
Alex Sorenson is a junior at Dunlap and has all the tools to be the best player in our area next year...
He's having a very good season on an undermanned team - but has routinely been putting up good stats and double-doubles...
Coach Graham's son Max has also been playing very well as noted in those stories...but Sorenson is 6-8 and is developing a good outside game..
He's not to the point where he's getting D-I offers but recruiters are there watching him...
