BU recruit- 2014 Michael Finke

Finke is visiting Iowa this weekend. Has a large group of schools that said they will be at his hs first open gym Sunday Night as well.

AAU Teammates 6'8 Alex Sorenson F (Dunlap) & 6'4 Marcus Bartley PG (Decatur MacArthur) will be visiting SIU this weekend!

Bradley offered Finke last night after his open gym. Coaches from Bradley, Ball St, Illinois, Purdue, Stanford, and 2 from Iowa were in attendance.

I don't have any problem at all if we spend a little effort going after and recruiting the best players who maybe rise above the mid-major level and end up at a Big Ten school.


I think it still benefits us just to have our name mentioned on the kid's recruiting pages and in the articles!!

What I don't like seeing is when we seem to spend a ton of effort going after kids who are th 4th & 5th best on their juco teams, who average single digits and 32% FG shooting and then they choose FIU or Towson over BU!

I agree T - but I'm betting those 4th - 5th best juco kids are at best conditional offers. Maybe even doing the juco coaches a favor by creating a little bit of demand for their players and program.
