Alec talks recruitment - wants to go somewhere that he can play right away - presumably as a frosh...

UW Greenbay, Loyola, Northern Iowa, & Northwestern will be in today.
Penn St. & Nebraska will either be in Thursday or soon after that.

Before Jank left, I was told that the coaching staff at ISU considered him a "lock" for 2013. Even with his departure, if I was a gambling man, I'd put money on Alec choosing ISU by the end of summer.
The only wrench for ISU is that Peters has grown to 6'8 and with a good summer, will start hearing from the low-high majors. His performance at Richwoods impressed a lot of the right people (comparisons to Ben Simons, a player who definitely could succeed at a higher level). I know Iowa scouted Peters but didn't pursue because of Uthoff's commitment, and I bet you'll see Illinois get involved at some point.#DunkOnYou

college recruiters have their own set of criteria and thus kids who look great to everyone else - don't always get BCS attention and likewise kids who don't seem as good sometimes get far more attention..
Sure they miss on rare occasions but for every kid who was really way better than the offers he received, there's 50 kids who were not as good and ended up aiming too high and never gets playing time...

I see not a lot of risk with possible high reward here, although granted I don't get paid to evaluate talent.
